Arsene Wenger is an incredible manager and what he has done with the club and over all puts him at the top of the list as one of the greatest manager of all times in my opinion. How ever the game of football has dramatically changed over the years and Wenger has decided not to adapt to that change and stick to his old philosophy which is actually proving difficult for the club to become title contenders since clubs like Chelsea, Man City and others buy their way to success and not necessarily develop and progress players, although Wenger did spend money on, in many peoples opinion, world class players such as Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez & Petr Cech. Arsenal are still not quite there yet with these new signings and many people are now questioning his tactical decisions as a manager and maybe it might be time for a new manager to come in and see if that change would work out for the best, the problem is that I really can't see any manager in his place because he has been there for so long, It's like with Man Utd I still think of Alex Ferguson and it is very difficult for other managers to come in and fill his shoes.

I don't think an incoming manager would struggle to the extent managers struggled at United post Ferguson. Ferguson consistently got more out of players than he had any right to whereas Wenger has a very strong squad at his disposal, he just doesn't get enough out of it. That's not to say Fergie didn't have an embarrassment of riches at times, because he did, but he was able get the best out of everyone and have a squad performing at a level higher than the sum of its parts.

I think a change in management at Arsenal would give the supporters a renewed sense of optimism which wasn't the case when Fergie left United, which says a lot about the difference between the two situations.

I fear for poor Claude if Wenger continues for another contract. They should make a change even if it's for the worse in the short term; though anyone solid would definitely get more out of this squad than Wenger does these days.

As far as optimism everybody knows what the majority of Arsenal fans are like, they change like the weather lol and I am not so sure how long this optimism would last for if a new manager were to replace wenger and they had a repeat season of where they won no trophies again, where as Liverpool fans are totally different win, lose or draw. I do think a change of managers is needed but at the same time I also don't think the grass is greener on the other side, I am just trying to think what manager can get Arsenal to win major league titles again. When Pep came to Man City fans must of thought well this going to be simple but that is not the case at the moment, I don't know what Arsene Wenger says to his players at all but I do feel players like Mesut Ozil needs a push some times.

Who do you think would be a great replacement for Arsene Wenger ? I always thought Pep would suit Arsenal but he is at Man City.

People are saying Tuchel, but I don't see it yet; he's yet to prove himself I'd say. Not sure the fans would go for Simeone if it went to his more pragmatic playstyle, but Arsenal used to play like that under Graham so its not like its totally alien to the club. Allegri is a good manager, always thought he done well given the resources when at Milan and has made Juventus stronger; but I'm not sure necessarily if he'd fit in there. A pick I just thought of is Jorge Sampaoli, who's no nonsense, plays at a high tempo with high energy, his sides play good stuff and he's won things. Anyway since Arsenal is one of those clubs I've never liked, maybe they should go in for Hodgson. :D

I think the entire footballing world can see that Wenger peaked years ago. No-one can knock what he has achieved at Arsenal down the years but recent seasons have proven that he is far away from being able to manage a team capable of winning the PL again.

As for replacements, I don't really know anyone out there who is suitable to carry on the Arsene way.....the bigger question is, does it have to be someone who carries the Arsene approach? I am sure Arsenal fans would give up a percentage of possession each game if it meant them getting better results and competing for the title again

Klopp would have won the title with this Arsenal team imo.

Fair enough, if I could choose any manager right now it would be Klopp first choice then Pep but anyway I can't see wenger going any where for a few more years and even if he does go he will still be apart of the Arsenal team and the same philosophy will be used no matter what manager comes in I believe.

Yes I have been saying this to a lot, I believe Arsenals philosophy will still remain no matter what manager takes Wengers place so I really can not see anyone suitable although I think Klopp and Pep would be the best fit.

Yeh not gonna argue with that lol, what klopp is doing with Liverpool at the moment considering that Liverpool has very average players apart from 2 or 3 players is actually amazing, if another manager had that liverpool squad right now they might be at the bottom half of the table.

The side isn't as good as the others in the top six, but its not a bottom-half of the table side. They are not THAT bad! :D

I think they are very below average, take out coutinho, Mane and Chan I think they would really struggle to make it in the top half. Thank god for Klopp because some how he has them playing very good football and if that was another manager it would be more of a struggle for Liverpool lol. I think Liverpool fans would agree that most of the squad players need replacing.

I support Liverpool and the squad is needing fleshed out in the summer but it has a good foundation of a good side to kick on. Also you take three or four top players from most of the other top sides (Spurs in particular ) and they'd struggle. It's an irrelevant argument anyway as if they didn't have these players they'd have others in anyway.

nah on paper teams like chelsea, man city, arsenal majority of their players are quality including their bench, they have that depth about them but some times that don't matter because Arsenal have quality players but lose to Bayern 5-1 lool. I like Liverpools Academy I watch them a lot.

I like Wenger - he's a great manager and seems a genuinely decent guy. But I think both him and Arsenal would be happier if he moved on. There are other teams who'd love to have him, and Arsenal need to be shaken up a bit or they won't win the league again any time soon.

No!

The spoilt brats (A.K.A. Arsenal supporters) should realise the title isn't a guarantee for any club.
