1-0 Russia, scrappy finish but been coming.

A lot of empty seats, would have expected the Russian games to have been well attended.

Is it on the box or are you watching a stream?

They're hyping the NZ coach as a bright young manager but they look so disorganised. Absolute mess defensively and their set piece routines on the attack aren't great either.

Shit cup. I am not inthe least interested. Germany will only field a team with youngsters and 2nd row players (Julian Draxler is the most experienced with 30 caps and will be captain. This alone shows it, he would never be considered to captain Germany if one of the big guns were available).

It will only be good if we're ever in it [emoji13][emoji13]

That's what i meant with 'relocate: join the oceanic (?) FA instead of UEFA ( England out of the EU (ilike that will ever happen ;) ) so maybe they'll let you out of the Uefa too :D /i ) and winning the championship of this oceaniic (?) FA should even be possible for the three lions...

Valid Chile goal chalked off after VAR.

If the implementation of it is going to be this badly botched then frankly we can do without it. The rules of the game are too open to interpretation for it to work. If we're going to see every remotely debatable offside call resulting in a free kick let's just keep things as they are.

It's the time it took to get the decision that annoys me. Player scores, celebrates for several minutes and just before they kick off again, the ref over turns it. It''s going to lead to mass confusion and annoyance both on and off the pitch when these calls are overturned, especially if there are any stadiums without video screens to show the replay. Imagine if that happens in a Russia match in the World Cup, they'll be riots in the stands.

Same sort of incident in the Portugal v Mexico game.

Goal was ruled out after some debate and no-one seemed very sure about it all.

Jeez, another shit show at the end of the game. Why on earth did the lino flag? Good to see they got that one right, but this video review thing is bloody awful. Just sucks all the emotion and excitement out of the game.

This video system is such a load of shit, get rid of it asap. Goal line technology is as far as we should go.

Leon Goretzka 3-1, his first goal for Germany. I really like this guy

btw: Don't wonder why I am so enthusiastic about this match (although I don't like this cup, would be better to give the players a rest after the long seaon but...anyway) , I am back home today from Hospital so I'll watch it because I am just happy to be home again.

Yes, Leno (not to be confused with Leon (Goretzka) :D ) is our very own Joe Hart. I really don't know why he is even considered, we have behind Neuer enough very good choices like ter Stegen, Kevin Trapp. Leno is sometimes world class and the next moment pub-league level. Typical Leverkusen player...not reliable.

edit: Changed "Non league level" to "pub league" ;)

LEON was Fantastic. If we could just keep our youngsters. What for a team we could field:

Neuer (Bayern)
Kolasinac ( Arsenal)
Matip (Liverpool )
Höwedes (still Schalke)
Gündogan ( Manchester City)
Draxler (PSG)
Özil (Arsenal)

All of them used to play in our youth squads.

+ Rakitic (Barca) and Rafinha (Bayern) who joined us as teens we would have a pretty good team
