The first of two away games in four days and it’s a long one up to Grimsby.

Jolley looked like he was on the brink a couple of weeks back but a couple of wins later and Grimsby look much more comfortable. I’m surprised they struggled so much tbh.

Hope we can carry on the unbeaten run and I’d imagine we will be unchanged and play Forte and Stockley together up top.

Safe trip to all travelling Grecians. Think we will win this 2-0 but taking nothing for granted as we weren’t at our best in the last away game so need to be on our game.

Since we returned to the league our record against Exeter reads:
W0 D1 L3
Scored 0 Conceded 6

So not holding out much hope for this one.

Yeah, I was at both matches last season and we were terrible on each occasions. Hopefully we will be a little better this time around.

2-0 to us.

I wasn’t at the game last season but I went the season before when they dicked us 3-0 and they could’ve had about 10 that day, battered us.

Their fans were doing the conga around the Osmond too which was quite funny to watch.

Yeah we’re not winning this one. Even if we have (maybe) turned things around, Exeter are just too good for us and our record against them is terrible recently.

He will probably play Stockley on his own as he has the last few away games. We drew both of those and I think we will draw this one.
1-1 with Jayden scoring for us

Without wanting to disrespect Grimsby, their start to this season has been erratic to say the least. Bleddy typical for them to win 2 on the bounce before playing us mind. On paper we should win this, but on paper means nothing in our division. I still think we will win but expecting Grimsby to make very hard work of it. Going to say 1-0 with Stockley for us

Can’t see Town winning it but we’ve been up and down with performances so far this season so anything could happen. International break might even have helped us.

Bit off the pace being down under for the last 18 months, does that Bogie bloke still play for you, I remember him being pretty decent ?

If he did, we wouldn’t be in this position. :(

We're taking the absolute piss out of Exeter so far. Not unusual for us, just depends on whether we get the goals to cushion our potential collapse. Encouraging so far though.

The dreaded second half shit show coming up now after a really good first half in which we should be in front.

Yep, we sound...decent. But we didn’t score when we really should have. I have a feeling that Exeter’s quality will show in the second half. It does show that we DO have the ability to play well.

It’s not a surprise is it, we’ve managed to play almost every side off the pitch in the first half of the game. Second half is usually when things go wrong.

We have sounded really poor and Grimsby should be ahead, so pleased to be level at the break.

Vernham hit the post for Town so we were let off there but we did have one good chance that Forte dragged wide. Taylor needs to sort this out at HT and if we pick up in the second half we should come away with something.

McKeown has literally saved us there. Really need to try and kick on from here.

Good point for us, happy to keep the clean sheet. Both teams had chances but lacked the quality at the end. Exeter had the better of them, especially with the penalty miss. I think they edged it over the 90 but a draw is probably right.

Can’t grumble at that result especially with the penalty, although once again we dominate first half then can’t follow it through in the second.
Very happy with the result though.

I’m happy with a point although the penalty miss is disappointing as well as hitting the post and Jake Taylor missing a really good chance. The second half opened up a lot and Grimsby gave us a lot of problems today so I can see them moving up the league.

First half we weren’t at the races so a point is probably fair. Onwards to Crawley now.

Could not watch this one so just going by what was read on here and our forum. Sounds like the Mariners were all over us in the first half and we held on until halftime, but a different story 2nd half. Sweeney is decent at penalties so I'm surprised he didn't score, but apparently a very good save. I thought we would win this, but by the sounds of it a draw sounds pretty fair. Getting tight at the top, and maybe a corner turned by Grimsby ?

Yeah, hopefully. That's 7pts from the last 9 and three back to back clean sheets, so *touch wood* we're shaking off the second half curse. Sounds like we rode our luck yesterday though, which we weren't doing in the earlier parts of the season.

Yeah definitely if that game had been played a few weeks ago we’d have lost it second half, big improvements made especially defensively in the last few games.

Disappointing but some days the ball just won't go in. Keeper made a great save and we missed a couple which we should be burying. Games like this will cost us come the end of the season, but that's life.

But tbf Grimsby could easily have won the game too, so I am treating it as a point gained.

Interesting (or not) stat I saw today. Since 2016, McKeown has faced 13 league penalties. One of them was missed.
He’s saved 5 out the other 12. He’s also gone the right way on 10/13 penalties. Does anyone know if this is a good level for a keeper?

5 out of 12 is very decent and then some
