If you really want to comment on educational standards please insert punctuation marks where appropriate

Will do, as soon as you learn to spell basic words and work out the difference between there and their :lac: Talk about confirming a Mansfield negative stereotype.

Right for the sake of the forum, how about we carry on discussing the next NCFC manager, as per the thread title. :ffs:

Odds on Nolan coming back are tumbling....

Probably means he’d have the dressing room

Nolan coming back would fit in with the ongoing circus that is Notts county.

Cracking record he had towards his first spell too.

Would to see how how Hardy would explain that one?! Surely he blames or at least part blames Nolan for this Seasons start, a poor preseason which left us without confidence and underprepared and for wasting his own money.

I can almost picture the faux laughing and joking that would go on at the press conference.

You’re right Adam, great job for one and a bit Seasons without a doubt, his record is superb. But hard to ignore this Seasons start which he is responsible for. He’s the cheap option naturally , but too many other viable options out there who are currently out of work. The Notts job will always be attractive at this level, that’s undeniable

Of course it’s going to be attractive, but a bit like leeds in the championship, it’s usually a poisoned chalice. I was on the understanding that Nolan quite liked a beer?

Wait, what, Nolan going back?! What's going on there.

Didn't get the sack earlier on in the season because he liked an ale and took his eye off the ball?

Notts with Nolan gonna be the same as Barnet with Martin Allen. He’s going to come in to save us from relegation every couple of years before getting sacked or dicking off to manage Gillingham or someone.

The bars of West Bridgford are positively rejoicing at the prospect of Christmas coming early.

According to the local paper Hurst ‘is interested in talks’.

For God’s sake Al, just get him signed up.

Appointing him as manager ten weeks after sacking him would be something spectacular even by Barnet's standards.

Much prefer cider personally.

But neither you or I drink loads of it while trying to manage a football club, which I presume led to his demise. Maybe he couldn’t get over that 99th minute equaliser from that duff of a forward you signed

Hurst would be the best option imo, he's really proven himself since being hounded out of Grimsby whereas Ardley has only done it at one club and been a bit mixed in that time.

All year round cider drinker? Ok.

Yes Adam that will be the reason, you nailed it haha! Nothing to do with the absorbing and harsh play off semi final defeat in front of over 17,500 fans on sky TV.

Football managers and alcohol are synonymous with each other. You don’t have to look far or too far back to realise plenty of managers successful or otherwise love to drink when managing a football club. Stressful job as you can be sacked and lose your job at nearly any time aka after 14 games haha.

Try again.

Plus you do know that neither of us know enough about football to get anywhere near managing a professional club. Stick with your local Under 11s side mate.

The drink rumours were spread by people who hated Nolan. That's what they are, rumours. Be careful what you say as it could be legally naive and expensive

Oh I didn’t realise you were such a sensitive and touchy individual.

I’ve already realised you aren’t particular good at football banter and taking pops on here. Plus you seem to have a selective memory like that the weird obsessed Spanish fella.

I’m going to take a bit of a punt and say your manager before Flitcroft liked a drink or three! If Nolan gets appointed then go nuts , have a cider but it’s rumours and hearsay that’s all

Typical Adam response when he’s made to look foolish. Booze and football managers, who would of thought it :ffs: They’ll be telling us players like a drink and a gamble next

Think we all know Evans was more of a food man over the drink.

Thank god we appointed a manager so quickly so I don't have to read about the tedious bickering between Mansfield and Notts County fans.

Wait until the derby in three weeks' time! Although that will have its own 100-page thread (and that's just by the Monday before).
