Just started using this Forum - great resource.

I have seen there are "average" Away followings on here but does anyone collate everything - in other words is there a Spreadsheet which could be looked at to find the Gate and Away contingent from every game played this Season in Division 1 (or is it bugger off - cheeky_ and do your own ?)

I usually post mine every so often, I'll try and do one tomorrow.

Trouble is, I rely on help from others on here, and not enough do so, so I've got some gaps. I also asked for help re programmes last week to help me fill some gaps, with not much response (thanks to the two people who DID respond.)

I'd like to help you out mate, but we don't seem to release away figures this season, the only one I remember was Barnsley.

In contrast to Sunderlands ridiculous numbers, we've only sold 1,312 for Blackpool on Saturday. In fairness though, we're in poor form, took 1,000 there in the league cup earlier in the season and it's days before Christmas. 750 gone for Luton on NYD, should sell out.

Are we expecting the usual "poorer" attendances on last Satdi afore Xmas and what do people think re Boxing Day as there are few Local derbies (that used to be traditional) and we are left with Fleet v Donny Scunny v Luton Burton v Chairboys etc.

Lots more mileage - may affect the Gates ?

Suppose the fact we have a massive game against Portsmouth has helped us sell out there on Saturday (at least I assume we have, the club just stopped mentioning it and stopped selling tickets online). I imagine it'll be a good crowd at a boisterous Fratton Park.

For Boxing Day I see Bradford are nearing the 2,000 mark for tickets sold and we've sold over 38,000 in the home end so it'll be a "League One" record attendance.

A record under the league 1 name, but it’s still division 3 isn’t it. Either way, great support.

I should be able to confirm the Walsall figure, and hopefully the Scunthorpe figure as well at some stage. As for the other Fleetwood and Burton, little chance.

If you list the ones that you are missing I'll let you know what I have, apart from the games I've listed above that is.

What is the division 3 record, by the way?

Total sales now approaching 39,500 - and I reckon we’ll sell 500-1000 more, tbh.

Wouldn’t surprise me if the total attendance is nearer 45,000 come Boxing Day.

Think it may be Wednesday v Sheff Utd, which was 49k. We had 48k v Bournemouth in the early 70s. P.S , A Bristol City v Cardiff fixture in the old third division south had 51k.

Aye we can't possibly break the 3rd tier/Div 3 record. Unless we put some of the pink seats on the roof.

I think the highest 3rd tier average attendance is around 36k which was Hull back in the 40s. We won't break that either. "League One" record is Leeds with 26,546 (I think) though, going for gold!

Big club Sunderland.

We had some big crowds whilst we were in the 3rd tier back in the 70s.
39,500 against Luton, 42,000 against City, 51,000 against Everton (Actually, 2nd tier that), 42,000 against Sunderland (50,000 for the return game at Sunderland), 46,000 against Newcastle etc...

Cheers for those.

I'd be interested if you can remember where you got the Fleetwood v Burton figure from. I couldn't find one anywhere and both clubs are notorious for not publishing.

I did see a picture of the Burton fans behind the goal, and counted about 80 ish. Unless there were a 150 or so in the seats, 233 seems unlikely. Also it would have been Burton's fifth highest away following of the season, a few days before they travelled to Middlesbrough.

I'll be interested to see how many they bring to Luton on Sat!

We had 43k in D3 in a game against PNE also, no idea why.

Cracking effort from both Sunderland and Bradford.
