Hope we lose our replay with Maidstone tonight. The next round is on the 12th January which will interfere with our FA Cup 4th round preparations.

Orient at home FFS, a total fix organised by Salford no doubt.

Shall we just agree to both forfeit this sheer tinpottery and give some other side a lucky loser place?
Not the best draw for either side.

We rested 6 players from our squad completely on Saturday and I would imagine we will do the same again for this - Alot will depend on our Christmas results, but if we're still in and around the top, this game will no doubt see our reserves deployed again. Especially after 5 games in 2 weeks.

We barely got out of first gear on Saturday against a side which barely troubled us, so whoever plays is going to have to be on the ball alot more.

Hopefully both sides agree to settle this on the day, the last thing we both will need is a replay in this god forsaken cup.

If we lose this I will seriously not care. Gonna cost me £65 on the day though to get there on the train. Meh.

Needham Market havé withdrawn from their rearranged tie at Weymouth, which was due to be played tomorrow after being postponed on Saturday. They have cited the amount of time their squad would have to take after having taken half a day off on Friday afternoon and Weymouth refusing to play the re-arranged tie on a Saturday.

Can't say we didn't deserve it. We were the better team on the day and should have had a few more even before the red card.

That being said, i'd happily trade in that win for 4-6 points from our 2 games over Xmas / NY

I think that's a tad unfair. We were easily the better side in the first half, but I thought Alty were well on top for most of the second half.

Hope our tie with Truro is decided either way without a replay. Asking part-time players to travel to Truro on a Tuesday night is just madness.

Long delay in the Ramsbottom v Workington tie with Rammy 2-0 up after a serious injury. Players awaiting an ambulance.

Nialle Rodney was taken to hospital eventually (nearly 15 minutes since the injury and he was still awaiting an ambulance to arrive). The paramedics said it may be a fracture & dislocation.

Everyone happy then. Hard to get over excited, but a win is a win and three goals scored in a home game, albeit with extra time, should help fragile confidence.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Depressing situation at Aldershot. Fielding the entire youth squad was apparently our only option. I'm not sure that a 7-0 drubbing will have done a lot for their development, although they put up a spirited show. I have always regarded the Trophy as an important competition, especially when chances of play-offs are nil. Survival is all now, it seems. Budgeted for gates of 2400,soon to be 1300 at best. The edge of the cliff, again...

Surely you could have played a few of your first teamers to at least try to get some much needed prize money? Why would your first choice keeper need to be rested?

Could have done without the extra time especially when we have Billericay away on Saturday.

Looks like we might not have a game on 12th January (Trophy 2nd round day) anyway unless Oxford City beat Maidenhead. If that even gets played before then - it's already been called off twice.

You've got to think that one of the top six will win it this year.

We've also announced that our big game with Wrexham will go to a replay if they can't beat what will no doubt be mainly our squad team and Jordan Maguire-Drew on the 12th...........

Seems a bit pointless to need permission from us for a competition that we're not even eligible for/involved with.

Say that after your trip to Spennymoor...

Just another interesting place for us to visit this season. Whilst I do feel some sympathy with Bromley especially after with what happened with us and the FA Youth Cup, it’s a little amusing because of the ‘big one’ that some Bromley fans have been engaged in especially since Tuesday.

I can only imgaine that we're taking this seriously or trolling you.

BUT, our American owner I think is very keen to play at Wembley so I can imagine we will still give ourselves every chance of winning.

Even if this goes to a replay, we will probably just stick to the same squad players and lose anyway.

Too much cringe for one day!
Was almost tempted on putting ourselves in the tinpot thread. Still embarrassed.

Don’t get the Tuesday night thing. Don’t get the spotty teenager brigade that like to “give it”, before Mum picks them up right outside the exit.
Personally I enjoy the fixtures, always fairly close and mostly a competitive match.

We move on and focus on the league.
Good luck to you in the competition.
