Whatever happens you don't want to go down to Conf North. Too many clubs ( Ex league ) already in there. Hopefully Bradford PA & Stockport are on their way back.

What about us?

What about us?

You've never been in the league

Tbh BPA have been out of the legaue so long I'm not sure they count any more. Same with Southport and Workington and other names from the 50s.

Chester, Darlo and Hereford* I still see as traditional ex League teams, even given their pheonix status, as well as York and Stockport. Same fanbase, same club.

*I know Hereford are a bit like Kidderminster as traditionally a bigger non league team but for some reason I associate them with the League

Three banning issues with more to follow.

I presume one of them is that Billyeald chap who came across as a right tosser on Facebook trying to justify himself.

The club have also used this as an opportunity to add a term in saying you can get banned for malicious posts on the internet too. With everything going on in the boardroom that is very sneaky of them.

You also get a longer ban for lobbing a bottle than you do for racially abusing someone. Interesting

BPA, Southport & Workington were all regular teams in the Football league up until the late 60's. I can remember all three clubs in the Third division in the 60's. Yes -- So all these three clubs count.

I've seen all the teams you mention, apart from Hereford :told:, play as league clubs on more than one occasion, mostly in the 60s.

Yeah, I briefly read the press release and noticed that. It seems they're confirming something racist was said, but I don't see how they can to be honest, unless somebody has admitted it.

They've not got anyone for the racism according to our forum, 1 for throwing a bottle and 2 for running on the pitch. I think that is probably because Ashmore has made it up again

I'm hearing a steward and a Chesterfield player have come forward regarding the alleged racism. Talks ongoing between the two clubs.

Dave Allen ha rocked up at the ground for the first time in ages to unveil Sheridan. Few Quotes

DA says he's just seen some libelous comments from a high profile person, they've been passed to his solicitors and that person can 'get ready.'

Allen: I'm not going to sell the club until it's back in the football league.

Allen: There is no budget. Sheridan can get who he wants to keep us in the division.

DA calls this the last chance saloon. Says if this isn't right it never will be.

Concludes presser by asking for some positive press.

Dave Allen says there is no budget and John Sheridan can go out there and get whatever he needs to keep us in this division #Spireites

Dave Allen says he will now run the club #Spireites

Dave Allen also asks the members of the press to help out and report more positive things #Spireites

Dave Allen says he will now be returning to games following Sheridan's appointment #Spireites

I could believe that one or two dickheads shouted something as the current political situation enables these people to do it. It's getting worse at Pools as well.

Seems Chesterfield are attracting the interest of one of Ownafc.com

Seems to be along the same lines as the Ebbsfleet model a few years ago

Doesnt seem dodgy at all though

Been alerted to this by a keen eyed Spireite. £99 to download the app. Chesterfield appear to be one of the club's they've looked at owning. No idea, yet, as to the legitimacy of the scheme. You can see it for yourself at https://ownafc.com/

OWNAFC have tweeted they are completing a Fit and Propers Directors Test and hope to complete a take over of a "non league club" based in the Midlands very soon?

Their a bit touchy on Twitter too. Blocked me for sending a guess at who it is

Nuneaton?

Unlikely, they tried to look at buying the Vale and were not complimentary about our under fire chairman Norman Smurthwaite who also owns Nuneaton's stadium.

Where's the money coming from for this? They have fewer than 1,000 followers on Twitter and Facebook, which doesn't imply many paying members.

It's unlikely to be us unless a good offer has been made and proof of funds has been provided. A few time wasters have already been given the old Spanish archer

Article on the Beeb today, says OWNA would own 51% and the rest made up by the folks behind the app, think the bloke involved posts on here.

Can’t see it being us. Someone mentioned Hednesford on our forum, though I know very little about them

I feel for whichever club it is as it will not end well.

Already seen on Twitter people that have subscribed saying that it's only £50 and they are happy to lose it. I think they'll be very happy then. It seems the policy of OWNA is to block people on Twitter, even for the most tentative of negative feedback. If that isn't sending red flags up then their pinned tweet concerning their tech not being good enough should do it.

Oh and even as a collective, they will be a minority shareholder. Yep nothing concerning about that either.

Having followed this Ownafc closely on Twitter for the past few days, if they come near your club then be afraid, be very afraid.

Looks like Hednesford dodged a bullet, but someone else may not be so lucky.

They are comically unprofessional on Twitter and treat even mild scepticism against them as equivalent to an accusation of treason.

Hopefully they get their hands nowhere near a football club.
