Fuck me that's shocking. We normally take about 200. Tinpot personified.

To be fair, Gillingham is a total shithole and I have vowed never to go back there (hope I stick to this). Shit away end, shit hole, shit result (usually).

Erm you want a fight!?

Gillingham is beautiful if you know where to go, you get put in a proper stand these days so it’s no different to any other away end. Problem is no one comes in sufficient numbers to generate any noise.

Still should be taking more especially on first Saturday, if it's not like it's a Tuesday night. Not an unpleasant journey , 3hours or so. Torquay had around 350 fans ar bromley on Saturday and that's 4 hours from down here.

I rather enjoyed my trip to Gillingham a few (counts back on fingers and it's about 11) years ago. OK, it was a night match in Autumn, but the fine drizzle didn't spoil the view from the scaffolding. We drew 1-1, thanks to Adam Le Fondre's goal, in what I remember as a decent performance against a competent Gills team. The locals were friendly, and the beer was well kept.

And from memory about 130 Dale fans made the trip, which was about 60 more than Wigan took to Tottenham the same night... :)

Was that the same year we played each other in the play-offs? Seem to remember your goal being a bit of a screamer?

Rochester is ok, the rest of Medway however...

Have you got rid of the scaffolding?

Cracking turnout again to watch the youth team at Rochdale. 1,597 Bolton in a crowd of 3,362.

Tickets for Tranmere away on Saturday go on sale tomorrow night, should sell the 2,000 allocation.

I'm surprised I thought Lincoln would have taken more than that
Not a happy hunting ground, lots of games in a very short time, midweek, not the easiest trip (m62 is always a git at tea time from here to there!),we've got local away games in the league before and after it (2.3k to Rotherham on Saturday and similar number sold for Doncaster on the 24th). The league cup isn't the competition it was either.
Having said now we've finally got a home tie in the next round and against a premiership side I'm sure we'll get a bumper crowd for that and a good chance of sky showing it too.

And DC saying it was low on his priority list. He'd been talking the game down all week.

People went to Blackburn last season and DC put a heavily weakened side out, which some would have liked a bit of warning about so he did this season (even if it wasn't weakened as much last night compared to last season).

How many you sold for Saturday Gassy?
Not a clue mate, our forum is in meltdown over fans arguing amongst each other with fruitmarket and takeovers - tbh you wouldn’t even think the season has started

I’d like to think 2,000+ but after our poor league start I get the feeling around 1,500

Don't have a figure for Dale sales at Shrewsbury as yet (my guess is about 600 will travel), but while I was looking was amused by this paragraph on our website:

"Prices are the same whether you buy in advance or pay on the day, but don't forget that 5% of revenue from all tickets purchased directly from the RAFC Ticket Office stays with the club. If you can't make it to the Ticket Office to purchase your ticket, give us a call on 01706 644648 (option 8) and we'll send your tickets to Prenton Park for collection on the day of the game. There are NO booking fees on tickets bought over the phone or online."

The copy/paste/proof check seems to be missing stage 3.

Mind you, Tranmere isn't totally off route for Rochdale to Shrewsbury. At least we don't have to pick up the tickets at Gillingham or Sunderland!
