I'm playing 14, and it's January 2019, so I'm in my 5th season, running fine still. And your i3 processor entirely depends upon the speed, cores, etc. Your RAM will definitely hold you back though.

Well this is fucking bonkers.

As I take control of the club, I'm dealing with a midtable squad. There are 2 or 3 honourable exceptions, particularly defensive midfielder Peter Cavanagh who's had a long Football League career and Damian Reeves who's got 15 for finishing. Probably the best finisher in the entire division. I have no money to spend, but I do manage to bring in 3 really good loan signings. Will Aimson is a really promising young centre-half from Hull. Jamie Frost is a tricky winger/striker from Burnley. And Jack Ryan is a handy strike from Preston to provide back-up for Reeves.

We did nothing in either the FA Cup or the FA Trophy. Quite possibly due to my ill-judged team talks. I dunno.

But in the league...a mixture of good luck with injuries and the loan signings all having storming seasons meant I massively overachieved. Finished 3rd and still had a chance of winning the league going into the last day. A brilliant effort.

We draw Eastleigh in the playoff semi final. A hard fought 0-1 win at their place was followed by a nervous 0-0 draw at Moss Lane, putting us into the final against Forest Green.

The final was possibly the most stressful FM match of all time. A crazy game that went back and forth finished 5-5 after normal time. We fought back to level up at 5-5 in the 75th minute. Then it was 6-6 AET after Forest Green scored in the 116th minute to level things up.

On we went to penalties and my lads kept their nerve magnificently. Scored 5 out of 5 to win 5-3 on pens. Up to L2 we go in our first season!

The crowd for the final was 38,000 which has given me a little bit of cash to attract some decent free transfers this summer. Great stuff :D

If you look into your Intel Control Centre program (Should have one pre-installed, search it) Open it up and look at what number it says next to the GHz, I3 should run FM fine with a good database I imagine, doesn't take loads.

Or an easier way would be if you have Windows 7/Vista, just go into your start menu, right-click My Computer and click properties, it'll tell you there.

Made another player sack his agent due to new contract demands.

Also, for the first time, I'm finding success with a 4-4-2, comes in useful against the weaker sides, not tried it against the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, et al, I did test it against Liverpool and came away with a 3-1 win, they are languishing in lower mid table this season mind you. Usually use a 4-2-3-1 but the flat 4-4-2 is working for me right now vs weaker teams, loving it!

Qualified for Copa Libertadores. Crushed Huachipato 5-1 in the process.

Now we'll see if I can get to the group stages :D

Just put a team full of backups to play Copiapo because I was resting my main players for the second leg with Olimpia, I ended up losing 7-2 at home to Copiapo. Didn't realize our backups were THIS bad.

Placed second in my group and got Vitoria in the knockouts. I won the first leg 2-0 and drew 2-2 in Brazil. I am now in the quarter finals against Gremio!

Hmmm, 7th with Stockport after a bit of a wobble over Xmas/New Year.

Struggling to find anyone who'll improve the squad. There's no in between - either shit or too expensive.

Signed two fullbacks for £45m, and spent £30m on a left winger. Throwing everything at it this summer.

Drew the first game 5-5 at Nottingham Forest. FML, I've plateaued.

Threw the title to Huachifuckingpato again. Had a brilliant season but Huachipato is so dominant its almost impossible to win the title over them.

May as well change their name to Huachiputo.

Winning the league on this save is one of the toughest challenges I've ever had to do on Football Manager.

I hate this game.

Top of the Championship with Leeds in December, then I get a message about a possible take-over.

Jump forward a couple of months, still top of the league, takeover goes through with rumours of heavy investment in players on the horizon. At this point, I'm feeling almost giddy with excitement...

Then the fuckers decide they don't want any lasting legacy from the previous regime, so they sack me.

It's a good job the game doesn't come with a physical disk anymore. That fucker would have been snapped a hundred times over this evening.

Any players to recommend signing? I have started with Barrow in the Vanarama North. Struggling to find affordable players as per with fm2015.

Same happened with me at Preston - just got them promoted as Champions, did all my Summer recruitment early and was raring to go for the next season - then in come new owners, and decide they have a love in with Nigel Adkins, so they sack me, and appoint him..

Meh, just outside the PO's this season with Stockport.

Onto next season, where it's going to have to be another decent re-build because the quality of the players available this season was horrendous.

I won the league with Deportes Temuco (finally). I won the apertura for the first time in the clubs history. I qualified for Copa Libertadores and drew a group with Flamengo, UTC and Barcelona. I ended up going out with 7 points after losing in Guayaquil to Barcelona.

Made some class transfers though. Expecting another good season. Just lost in the Super Cup though :(

Coming towards the end of my first season in the mighty footballing nation of Gibraltar. The fight for the Division 2 title is intense with the totally unbalanced fixture scheduling resulting in every team playing on a different day & some teams play twice before one team gets to kick a ball.

My Cannons FC boys are 3rd the table, 4 points behind perennial league leaders Lions Pilots with 2 games in hand having played 15 out of the 22 league fixtures.

We are also through to the prestigious Division 2 League Cup final where we will face Leo Parrilla.

Just in case anyone wants more frequent updates I've got a FB page for my save:

(Yes this is the mobile link... sort of hoping it will auto redirect you if you are on a pc)

I think I prefer Huachifuckingpato

and JJH I don't get that lucky win, unless I'm missing something? You dominated possession and chances...

Just achieved my best ever win.

3-0 down at half time against Liverpool, go on to win the game 4-3. Absolute magic.

I should add, this is with Burnley in the first season. Went back to my 'go to' team after those wankers at Leeds binned me off.

I finally left Chile after our players decided to leave on a free. I didn't have the money to reinforce. I know its not the best way to just back out like that, but my mission is complete and that was to win a league. I won the opening stage once and I can leave happily. I'm still on the same save but with a different manager and team. I retired as a manager and added a new manager to Tepic from Mexico. My mission now is to dominate Mexico and win the Champions League.

Ah, good reminders of my FM14 save. James Milner was vice captain of Tonbridge Angels. Chose them over the Championship club I was managing at the time...

Promoted with Stockport, finishing 3rd in L2. Managed to get there with 4 games to play and held on, aided by Luton losing both of their games in hand.

Both my strikers hit 20+ for the third season in a row, they just happen to be the only ones that score, though!
