This could be the way to go for Blackpool fans to get their wish of Oyston out though, I'd have thought they will leave if Blackpool FC are losing them money - so if they keep screwing up games and either get Blackpool fines or no revenue from having to play in front of zero fans the Oystons may well get out.
Fully expecting Blackpool to finish 24th in league one next season btw, points deduction or not.

We had a game abandoned after an on the pitch protest and those involved got banning orders. Even after the club went bust and the bans didn't apply to lower leagues the police forced the club in to handing them club bans.

On one hand I give Blackpool fans credit for having the b*lls to face a banning order and see it through, I doubt Hudds fans will care, they must've known a possibility here of game not going ahead.

but on other hand they still pay and go to games...........Oyston clearly is money orientated......therefore dry up the money and he'll sell up and go.

It reminds me in 2002 of Carlisle's protest at Knighton in the final days of that era and many had as such 'had enough' so organized a protest at the Plymouth game, round and round a thousand odd fans went walking in protest outside the ground at evil Knighton............before of course 5 minutes from kick-off all splashing out £15-20 quid each to pay to go into game :crazy:

what finally killed Knighton was administration when we got to June and had sold only 3 season tickets and no income was coming in at all.

Fair play to them fans making a stand but i agree with above post, stop going and Oyston will have no option but to go.

It is same as fans moaning about ticket prices and prices of kits etc if you buy them then chairman will keep charging same amount and try to push their luck even more.

I suppose having had such a shambolic season on the pitch the Blackpool fans feel they have nothing more to lose in making their club look any more ridiculous than they already have been, so all this business with egg throwing, mobility scooters and congas is part of a series of calculated publicity stunts intended to embarrass the Oystons in the public eye just as much if not more so than the fans, who've got to the stage of caring no more than having a club to support minus the Oystons, even if they continue their tumble down the leagues.

That said, the action of many of their fans in the stadium on Saturday was disgraceful, and I hope that a fair few arrests are made - however badly run a club is (and the Oystons, whatever their "crimes", haven't been breaking any laws), this kind of behaviour shouldn't be condoned anywhere in football, or outside it for that matter.

Just saying but you might feel differently if it was happening to your club. I don't support Blackpool but I have sympathy with their fans on how they've been treated by the Oyston's. They are ripping the soul out of the club for their own financial gain, and the protests such as stopping the game last week are set out to highlight the issue as much as possible to a national and even worldwide audience.

I see Bloomfield Road is finally getting some quality football this season.
Newly crowned Blackpool and Fylde Sunday Alliance League champions Boars Head Thistle take on last year’s title holders Blackhurst Budd in the "showpiece" Gledhill Cup final tonight. I guess the term "showpiece" is an easy word to use around Blackpool these days.

Still, I think that the concept of Blackpool ground-sharing with clubs of a similar stature and ambition is an excellent one. I see this as the first step towards restoring credibility and slowing - if not entirely halting - Blackpool's sprint into the Conference North. (Can't really use the word "marathon" in this context, because it's still fairly fucking quick)

Missed that last time round, seems a fair enough decision with half of Huddersfield's players due to go on holiday round this time and the game being essentially meaningless for both sides.

Still, I imagine a few Huddersfield fans (especially the older contingent) are a bit miffed by that decision, as a win in that game would have put them above Leeds for the first time in half a century, and it would have also meant that Stockport no longer hold the record for the lowest points total in the second tier in a 46 league game season since it became three points for a win.

Could still happen. The result is being decided next week (I believe). I'd assume they'll award Huddersfield a 3-0 win. I guess settling it as a 0-0 draw is an option too but given it was abandoned only a few minutes into the second half, not sure that's very likely.

I believe Blackpool should have points deducted as well. Despite the banter I do feel for Blackpool fans (Wolves were in a similar position a long time ago) but it was disgraceful. This is what stewards are supposed to prevent (and yes, pitch invasions were an ugly scene at Molineux the last two seasons and deserved stronger punishment too). Despite all the troubles at Blackpool, the fans still turn up week in, week out to provide much-needed financial support to those they aspire to replace. Get real.

Oh right, just looking at the latest tables I'd assumed they'd settled on a 0-0 draw.

I've read a few times elsewhere that they might decide on the 3-0 win, but any reason for that particular scoreline?

Not sure why the scoreline or whether the FA/Football League have different rules but Fifa say:

31 Forfeit
1. A team sanctioned with a forfeit is considered to have lost the match by 3-0.
2. If the goal difference at the end of the match is greater than three, the result
on the pitch is upheld.
