I remember him starting out, and he just seemed to be a top 100 player at best. Congratulations to him though, he's been a journeyman pro like Ebdon and Dott, who nobody really likes, but this has been his big chance and he's took it, and won fair and square beating some superb players on the way, well done Stuart.

John Higgins is back to his absolute best and has already won two ranking titles which included a 6-0 thrashing of Shaun Murphy at the International Champs.

You know the established players are struggling when fucking Rory McLeod wins a tournament!

Bit of a dickish thing to do from O'Sullivan again today, turning down the 147 at the Welsh Open because it was only £10k. Generates publicity (whether good or bad) for the game again ahead of the upcoming Worlds so I guess Hearn isn't too fussed despite what he says.

Totally agree MD. 10 k for walking round a table and potting a few balls aint too bad. Thats what Joe Bloggs will think.

I think it's been quite average considering how good these 2 are usually. Ronnie has played loads better in matches this week and Robertson just hasn't been at it tonight so far.

Robertson has been a lot better than the stats suggest. He's been very unlucky with his luck, especially going in to the pack.

Ok, so he hits a 141 to clinch it, it's like he does it on purpose just to entertain. He's basically wiped the floor with his main rivals Selby and Robertson this week. Still think he can be beaten in those long format Worlds matches though, if he comes up against a solid grinder who is in form.
