Ouch, big error there for me - I thought Macaroni would've scored a lot higher.

Hold up here, I know there is no wrong answers in Sheep, but Julius Caesar was NOT an Emperor. He took sole control after being one of three Consuls and then was assassinated. The first Emperor came after him in Octavian/Augustus - I move that Caesar as an answer be struck from the records!!!! :dis:

Quiet you.

Must say I'm enjoying the themed rounds. If you continue with other nations SUTSS, I'm going to really enter the spirit by dressing up and cooking food of that origin on the next sheep game day.

It's a whirlwind tour around a whole continent next as we head to Africa!

An African capital city
A type of lemur.
The first African country to win the World Cup
An African leader
A Victorian Explorer.
A famous Nigerian
An Egyptian Pharaoh.
An African-born British Citizen.

The deadline is Thursday 4pm*.

*This could change but it won't be any earlier than that.

In a normal world I'd have gone Julius Caesar. Having just done the Romans with year 3 and focused largely on Claudius' role, that was at the forefront of my mind.

Then you'll know Caesar wasn't an Emperor. That answer should be voided. :eye:

Yeah, I was going to put him but then realised he wasn't an emperor, so went for Augustus. Shows sheep has no morals.

I chose poorly tbh in my selection, I thought Nero or Caligula would've been more famous and better answers so went for Nero. Augustus would've been my first choice though.

Had a feeling people would go for Julius Caesar, but decided against it myself as knew it was an incorrect answer, and hoped the majority would follow that trend!

I would have won the round had I put it....

So close to the points again... And also, got me a bye! Woo!

Could only think of Fettuccine for the pasta, seriously screwed up there, would have got a few points had I managed Penne.

Indeed, which is what I thought when I went Claudius although I had a sneaking feeling he'd get the most votes. I did nearly go Hadrian which got nothing. Anyone who answered Augustus clearly has no clue about anything Roman as he was the first Emperor and clearly subject to a google.

Alternatively some of us (by which I mean me, I can't speak for anyone else) love history and know our shit. I did think Caesar would get mentions but I wasn't completely sure if it'd be the top answer so wanted to avoid the embarrassment of putting an incorrect answer. As always, I was wrong to do so.

I'm terrible at this game. The answer I was least confident of was the first one (I mean cars... really?) yet I score 40. Whereas ones I was confident of like Michelangelo, Carlo Ancelotti and Al Pacino were all outscored. Also stunned that so many think people don't go to Turin/Genoa/Naples. If someone asked me to name Italian cities tourists go to, after the obvious Rome and Milan, all three of those would feature alongside places like Florence, Venice and Pisa.

1 point, a big improvement on french sheep. I realised that Julius Ceasar wasn't actually an emperor but correctly guessed that most would go for him, all's fair in love, war and sheep.

Yep thats an adjustment I'll have to make on my Sheep playing as well. I chose Nero as I thought he'd be the most famous/infamous of the Emperors that most people would know, and I also went for Al Pacino thinking he's the most famous mob boss in cinema even ahead of Brando in the same set of films. Michaelangelo is probably the best known Italian painter (though he was primarily a sculptor), but I figured more would think of Da Vinci even though he only did painting when he could be bothered. Now I personally would have loved to have chosen Caravaggio as he's my favourite Italian painter, but I knew that would probably ace as an answer - got to play the percentages I suppose.

I'm stumped also about the tourist question, people go to Turin a lot and Milan, Naples almost as much as Venice, Florence or Rome and thats why I chose Parma as its a well known city in Italy but I think people would struggle to name anything there would be to see there.

Solves one mystery. I'm guessing not but any chance you have a copy of the table from season 14 (your second season)? And if you have still got info, who was in the cup final?

Afraid not mate. I THINK the final was between TCM and PH... But not 100% and the season was won by someone after the 9th game making the final round a complete fail! There's a strong chance someone did the double as I remember them two both dominating the season, but I don't know which one did it. Sorry mate.

No worries. We'd established TCM done the double so glad you've not contradicted that. I'll take your word on PH being in the final (unless anyone can provide any evidence to prove otherwise) because that'll complete my list of cup finalists.

Sounds about right Munks.

I have a feeling that I made the final before I actually won a cup so that would make sense.

In terms of this season, glad that I picked up some points but threw away getting the maximum with Tony Soprano. Knew there were bigger names that had played mafia chiefs, but as I'm not a film buff, I just went with the one that came straight to my head.

I can only name one species of lemur so it was an easy choice. I found these questions ok, thought there were only one or two obvious answers for most of them.

This does not look like an easy season to be a part of with the sort of questions that are coming up. I am absolutely useless when it comes to knowledge of England let alone any other country haha.
