MK fans were very supportive when we were in administration, using the old Millmoor bar when visiting the other South York's clubs.
So, I don't have a problem with them as such, and enjoyed my visit to Stadium MK last season, if not the result.

They and the Bristol City fans will hopefully liven this board up a bit and by god it certainly could do with it.
Welcome aboard.

I was there that day (it was en route to Bradford to pick up the League 2 title). For a club under such financial pressure I'll always say it's to your eternal credit that you didn't cut corners on the quality of the pies, chips and gravy that day. :) Still the footy grub I judge all others by.

This is particulary unfair. You can't slate a station that has Bernie Keith's Rock 'N' Roll heaven at 6pm after the football and Tony Blackburn' Soul show on a Sunday morning..... :woo:

Bernie Keith's show is a gaining cult status with me an my old man. Both love it, and an essential part of our match day.

It was two months before that League Cup game. We were 2-0 up and you came back to win 2-3.
Remember that League Cup game, didn't the Blues score 3 in about 5 minutes?

Had a good crawl hrough Digbeth that night, looking forward to a repeat.

Hang on, this is Reading, right? I've been at Elm Park in a crowd of 4,000. ;) If ever there was another club that, like us, benefitted from a geographical location and a tech industry boom, with an affluent workforce, a visionary chairmen and a shiny new stadium to attract all those townsfolk who "liked football, but only watchChelsea/Arsenal/ /Man United/Spurs when they're on the tele", it's you, isn't it?

For the record, most of us are former Luton MIGS, Chelsea Headhunters etc. who were on banning orders in 2004 and "just wanted to watch some footy". Stewards at the Hockey Stadium didn't know our mugs. OK?

My early memories of football was being dragged to Elm Park by my Uncle and cousins trying to get me to be a Royal, given there was no team in MK at the time. Never really worked for me as I couldn't get an affinity with the place being an MK/Buckinghamshire lad, but enjoyed it as a neutral. Then I started playing on a Saturday.

Did laugh when I saw your post as I remember being one of 4,000 watching Trevor Senior or Craig Maskell launch it over the Tilehurst End, then a season or two later being locked out in a game against Stockport County at Christmas because you were top and the day-trippers were out in force. (Yes I know I was technically a day-tripper too!)

Family will be doing both games, never been to the new ground so looking forward to that.

Part of me wishes that we still played at Elm Park.I got dragged to Elm Park in the early 90s.Thought i would stick with them rather than doing what most football fans in the town do and support Chelsea/Arsenal.

JPT was great last season! :bg:
Well once you get to be a League One club long enough and have already won it you'll understand how f***ing boring and irrelevant it gets every year afterwards. Clubs like Bristol City only win it because they've got nothing better to do when the league stops being challenging enough that season

There's a decent argument in there somewhere for scrapping the JPT and replacing it with a revised League Cup formate that is only the Football League so it's a bit more meaningful and challenging.

Is there anything you don't want to drop?

Well there's also the playoffs I wouldn't mind dropping...

Four up, four down in every league so that they are more transient, varied and that there's greater chances for relegation and promotion and it's harder for clubs to do an Oldham and stay at that level indefinitely. A world without WAB/LT/LO/C teams.

Absolutely unreal. I remember Sunderland relegating us at the NHS back in 2003/4 and it's taken a further relegation, a new stadium, a Wembley JPT win, a League title, 4 various failed play-off semi final attempts, 6 managers and 11 years in all to climb back to where we were before the wheels fell of the Dons, on and off the pitch.

Very exciting times moving forward.

You weren't MK Dons in 2003/04 you were relocated Wimbledon, so you can fuck that attitude off.

Whilst we weren't officially 'MK Dons', it is still the club we support now. Had a season ticket since that first game against Burnley, and still have a Wimbledon shirt and scarf from 2003 tucked away. :bg:

This here is the crux of why everyone hates you; you keep trying to claim that you are Wimbledon's successor. You have had plenty of success, and you now represent Milton Keynes. You don't represent Wimbledon, or anyone in it. Time to move on and drop all affiliation to Wimbledon FC. That club is dead and gone, yet reborn in AFC Wimbledon.

Yep, kids today are taught to hate MK Dons before they even learn their first word.

The majority of football fans in this country dislike Milton Keynes. Stuart Pearce may not, but then he is a total fucktard- on Monday on talksport he stated that if we hate MK we also have to hate FC United because they have the same origin......... :ffs::ffs::ffs::ffs::ffs::ffs::told::told::told::told::dis::dis::dis:

All I mentioned was a Wimbledon shirt and scarf. If it's any conciliation, the shirt has 'go:mk' on it though. Whatever you call them, I started watching them in 2003 in division 1 because they played in Milton Keynes :bg:

Nah, we're AFC Wimbledon.

Stop fantasising Scummy; you're already in the Championship...isn't that enough of a dream come true? :)

You are now back to where you were when you were us or we were you or they were us or we were them etc

Experiences around the country suggest otherwise Raging I'm afraid, most couldn't give a shit. Given your research is no doubt based on Internet forums or social media though I'll let you off.

Wake me up when we get through the usual debate and start talking about next season.

Nah to be fair to Raging, did you not see the Yeovil fans on Sunday violently clapping our players and fans at the end of the game? They were like abusive claps, every one more hate-filled than the last.

I guarantee we won't have a sub 100 following in this league. Nearly every ground is either a new one for our fans or one we have only visited once or twice (no more shite midweek games such as Oldham who we have visited like 10 times).

Add to this the fact that our away followings will grow along with our home crowds as a result of promotion and facing bigger names such as Leeds etc and we are probably looking at a home average of about 12,000 at worst (presuming we are in a relegation scrap) and away average of like 700.

based on absolutely fuck all these figures are...plucked from thin air.

Well what else is there to base it on? We've never been in the Championship.
It is just my opinion that our average home crowd will go up like 2,000ish and away crowd 200ish. It might even be more, the club said it expects 15,000ish on the local news.
