0-1 Cameron Jerome.

So many errors in that goal, from the fancying around with it at the back, to the keeper being beaten at the near post from the tightest of angles.

That was poor defending by Ayala (I think) for the goal, he just stopped :dk:

Fantastic start though.

Strange goal that. Boro defence just completely froze, don't know if they were expecting a foul or what.

And now 2!!

Incredible finish that from Nathan Redmond.

Reminiscent of the PNE game yesterday.

Very good second goal. Norwich look calm and collected. Boro the complete opposite. They need to get a grip quickly, if it goes 3-0 the ref mays well blow his whistle.

Wow, for being about the only promotion chasing side able to defend all season, Boro's strength has deserted them.

Good to see Norwich winning, hopefully we get to see that tosser Tomlin crying at the end.

Aside from the last 20 seconds of extra time in the League Two final, these play-offs have been proper boring. Hope Norwich collapse to spice things up.

Good thing Middlesbrough aren't going up with that type of defending.

I'm afraid the game is over. I hope not but I reckon it is.

No shots in target from Boro since they hit the bar.

Norwich dominating.

Funny how much less active this thread seems to be compared to the equivalent League 1 and even League 2 and Conference ones.

Have to say this result so far doesn't surprise me that much, as although their record against promotion rivals is on the whole very good (26 points against the top 8), when they go a goal down against a decent team (like us and Bournemouth) they really struggle, so it's probably just as well they don't get promoted this year.

Boro looking a bit more lively. Need a goal soon though you think.

Zero end product every time from Boro. They get to the byline and cut it back to nobody every time.

Is it weird that I'd prefer Norwich to win because I'd much rather a Scottish manager has success in the English divisions, rather than a Spanish manager?

I'm not racist, honest!

Not really- Only what Greg Dyke and the FA will feel.

Hence the great love for Eddie Howe.

In all seriousness, I wasn't sure about Boro's team selection, Norwich's strength is their midfield with Tettey, Howson, Johnson, Hoolahan and Redmond, and Boro had 2 in midfield, and Tomlin on the wing who isn't really known for his work rate to help Friend at left back. It just seemed a bit of a mis-match in midfield and I was expecting Forshaw to come on at HT. Norwich are the better side overall so they deserve it, I did want Boro to come up though.

So now we have 2 teams in the Prem who use clappers.

A sad day for football.

Congrats though.
