Got him in my team - makes up for losing Guillermo García-López yesterday.

Him and Dominic Thiem ones for the future...

Kyle Edmund just gone a set down.

Good little match Edmund and Robert. Robert has a very odd flat style with a lovely double backhand. Edmund competing pretty well though.

Johanna Konta just lost her first set Tie Break against Alletova of the Czech Republic 19-17! Numerous Set points squandered!

Yeah Thiem looks like he could definitely go places.

Andys match couldn't have gone better. Started off in tricky conditions and he had to get used to the weather and the court whilst playing someone who had a bit about them and was causing him some problems at times. A perfect start.

Konta lost 6-2 in the 3rd. Cant complain she didnt have chances. She had a bucket full of them!

Just Noticed Edmund has gone to a fifth? Have they pulled them off?

Great effort from Edmund to get through that one, up against a partizan crowd as well.

Interesting that, if by a long shot he manages to get past Kyrgios, he could be up against Murray in Round 3. When was the last time 2 British players went up against each other in a grand slam?

Didn't Tim and Greg clash in the US Open a few years back when they coming to the end of their careers?

Lets be realistic, he's not going to beat Kyrgios even if he is 100% fit which could well be an issue looking at him in that last game. Terrific effort from Edmund though, I like his game, he mixes it up well and does have an excellent forehand. It would be good to see him play Murray in round 3 though, so fingers crossed, but the money is heavily with Kyrgios in that match.

A very good effort by Edmund just to get through that against a very experienced player. That will stand him in good stead. He can approach the Kyrgios match with nothing to lose really. Just go and hit and you never know.

In reality though, Kyrgios is destined to be top 5/10 eventually whilst I can see Edmund forging a decent career in the top 50 but never hitting the heights of challenging for majors.

Oh yeah it's highly unlikely and if Kyrgios plays at anywhere near his top level he'll win comfortably, but he does seem that inconsistent type like a Monfils or a Gulbis in that he's capable of having an absolute mare on occasion

Djokovic and Nadal will meet in the quarter finals, if they both win their earlier rounds.

Had a shocker of a year after the 2014 success - maybe got too complacent?

Dimitrov is out!?! :ohm:

He hasn't kicked on this year so far, he needs to add some steel to his game if he is going to be a real danger going forward.

Sock's best surface is clay and Dimitrov's really isn't, so not too surprised by that result.

Yep to young American (who has real potential himself) Jack Sock
Yeah have been hearing about Jack Sock (what a silly name) over the last year but haven't really seen him play. Even if Sock has potential, a player like Dimitrov, if he really wants to be a consistent threat, shouldn't be losing to the likes of Sock currently.
