TR/TR2 - the nostalgia feels. Some parts of those games took try after try. And remember, this is the early stages of the internet, not today where you can just watch a Youtube walkthrough of the hard bit!

God Tomb Raider will be twenty years old next year!!! I remember playing it for months when it came out, it felt genuinely like a technological step forward for games and the feeling of exploring these vistas and caverns felt amazing, as if you were the only one to have ever discovered them! Played pretty much all the TR's since then and the last reboot was a cracking game.

Also she was such a tease!!

"How to be a complete bastard" on the ZX Spectrum. Based in an office environment, you had to go around putting cling film on toilet seats and photocopying your arse.

If you turned off the computer in the office the game itself would reset your Spectrim. Bastard.

I spent many hours when i was younger playing on Tomb Raider 1&2 and The last revelation and Chronicles and many more. The more recent ones like Legend and Anniversary were much easier than the earlier ones that's for sure, but all of them we're very enjoyable. Underworld was a bag of shit though.

The bugs in Frontier : Elite 2 were harsh as well, particularly if you forgot to save before you entered a firefight that you'd lose, only to find when your save reloads the opponent has one shot to destroy you again! Loved the expansiveness of that game though, if I was still playing games, I'd be on Elite : Dangerous like a shot.

As a kid, trying to defeat massive robot Robotnik in Sonic 2 was hell. The amount of times I went to face that bastard in space with 0 rings after a grueling duel with metal sonic and then immediately was taken out with a flying claw. Still upsets me today.

Ever try to do it playing as Knuckles? He couldn't jump as high as Sonic which made it damn near impossible!
