Ordinarily I would also pick Murray at slams and Ferrer here on clay but I haven't this time as I have put Djokovic and Federer as my #1 picks. I think Djokovic will beat Rafa (I bloody hope so anyway) and our Andy and progress to the final. Federer will get through his batch pretty easily I'd say too and I think Ferrer is in that half anyway. I also picked Nishikori as he can usually be excellent on clay but I don't think he has hit his heights on the surface this year so he is one of my dark horses if he can find that extra few percent he is capable of there.

Davis Cup tickets for GB vs France at Queens went on sale today. Bought a pair of tickets for me and the mother as a late birthday present for her. Going on the Saturday (doubles) as can't do the Friday because of work and I'm always a bit wary of dead rubbers on the Sunday.

Should be class.

Comes down to the doubles for me. Murray beats Tsonga, Monfils, Simon, Gasquet et al on grass. I doubt Ward, Edmund, Bedene or whoever will have quite enough to upset the odds this time (well unless it's against Gasquet, I can envisage him cracking).

We'll need Murray/Murray or Murray/Inglot to beat a good French doubles pair that will likely include Llodra, Beneateau or both.

Few of the mid to lower Men's seeds in trouble but the big names like Federer and Nishikori through quite safely.

I read Gublis hasn't won 2 matches on a row all season and doesn't look like doing so today!
