Depends if we persist with the 3-5-2 system as well - because if we revert to a one up top formation, we certainly wouldn't need another 2 strikers.

I don't think Cotterill will change it - and why change something that isn't broken?

The only problem is - teams are more clinical with chances in the Championship, and we may be too open.

We'll see.

Can't see us changing formation, the back three of Flint, Ayling and Williams works well, at most I would expect Bryan and Little to be told to be more selective on when they press forward.

3 out of 8 (one being a penalty) count as most? Am I being pedantic :hypo:

Little and the front two is where I'd look to prioritize. It's nice knowing the quality we have in the squad.

Keeper, Left sided Centre Half, Central Midfielder, a new Striker, and JET back should do it.

My Dad is convinced that letting JET go is the right move - and he thinks we wouldn't let him go if we couldn't do better, but really - better than JET, at Bristol City in the Championship?

I'm convinced he's just basing it off his time at Ipswich, which was over two years ago, when he was a mere age of 21.

I'm also convinced he'll be proven wrong.

Well, I certainly wouldn't mind him at Stadium:MK but what Robinsons priorities will be, who knows.

I said elsewhere that I think he'd be suited to playing for MK Dons. Think it'd be a really good move for him.

Doffing my Football Manager cap, I just want to say that the only way I'll be content with our decision to let JET go is if we bring in Matt Smith and Tom Bradshaw. The dream team.

Expect him to sign here tbh. He was at our promotion celebrations and when asked about signing he said it up to Robbo.

We are actively attempting to sign him as well so if the money's right he will be an MK Dons player... I just hope Brentford don't ask for too much money.

Also if we get JET I will be a very happy man, any idea on what sort of wage he was on at you guys?

I would be a bit concerned if we signed Matt Smith TBH. I really can't see him reproducing his great form in his spell with us over a whole season.

To be fair this entire thread was only started based on Birmingham being interested in him

Bollocks, was really hoping we would 'show intent' and try and sign him but from what has been written on our website it's going to be this seasons team plus a few loanees. I hope Robbo doesn't let loyalty to his team get in the way of progression/survival at this level.

I also think we'll take more advantage of the loan system this year as well - it seems to work for other clubs, and with having just an average sized budget in the Championship, it needs to be used effectively if we're to be looking at a top half or above finish.

The thing is, we didn't have many loans last season, only 2 that were successful in Smith and Tavernier whereas MK had quite a few and have lost their main man in Alli. They've lost Grigg as well. While both may return in different guises (loan for Alli, permanent for Grigg?), I know who's position I would rather be in.

No doubt about it, we have lost Alli, Grigg, Hall, and Baker. And I actually expect 3 of them to return, baker being on loan, the other two permanent. If that does happen 3/4 more signings and we will be there.

No way will we get Alli back permanently mate, we don't have that sort of money.

In your scenario, who out of Grigg and Hall doesn't come back?

I thought you were implying Alli was one of the two coming back permanently.

I'd love Grigg and think we should spend at least £20, if not the full £50 available trying to entice him back. Not too bothered about Hall but if Bolton release him and he agrees to a wage cut of like a fiver and travel expenses a week then that is cool.

We're working on a tight budget remember, Robbo has said as much.
