Yes I agree that the strikers area needs improvement. Couple names linked one being Jordan Ayew - who of course knows Renard well.
But we'll see.

The league have reached the absolutely genius decision last night to restrict the promoted/relegated sides between L1 and L2 to two clubs next season instead of the current 3. Now the current system is boring enough as it is and I've long wished that the league would see sense and adopt the British play-off system which makes much more drama for everyone. Instead, we've taken a HUGE step back and restricted the little piece of drama left even more scarce.
I don't especially have a problem with inviting investors to put money into French clubs. If that's what the league wants to do I'm all for it. It'll get people in stadiums and games will be more exciting (a bit) but it's really not the right way to do it. My only hope is that next season's relegation and promotion races will be so boring that the league will have to come back on this senseless decision.

No Benzema, Kurzawa (!!??), but Cabaye and Tremoulinas are in!

Benzema is out for the rest of the season. No need to call him up for two meaningless friendlies. Strange on Kurzawa but Tremoulinas is probably rewarded for Seville's fine EL run.
I have no idea why Pogba has been called up. He's gonna play the CL final the day before our game against Belgium!!!

Yeah that's true regarding KB. But his form overall for FFF isn't very good.
But at the same time, I don't have much faith in Giroud!

Also, well done to Angers, who have secured promotion to Ligue 1! Amazing achievement. So that's Troyes, Gazelec and Angers promoted.

Paris FC have been promoted to Ligue 2! Great news! Sadly Strasbourg won't be goiing up as Bourg-Péronnas won their game.

So another Ligue 1 season has ended. And what a season it has been.
PSG deserving champions. Produced when it really matters.
Last game for a few; Papus, Gignac, Ayew and Origi.

Well before Christmas that didn't happen! But as soon as PSG regained top spot, they were never going to let it slip.
Let's hope Monaco spend a bit of money and Falcao is back in the team (hopefully not in expense of Martial).
And will be interesting to see how Lyon will cope with Ligue 1 and CL next season. Looking forward to seeing their brilliant young team in Europe.

Thiriez has come out and said that the decrease in relegated/promoted sides isn't settled for the coming season. Methinks the whole board are having over the backlash that followed this completely senseless decision. I really hope they don't go through with it and instead instore play-offs lin the lower leagues.

Yes he done very well for Nice last season. Particular highlight was scoring 5 in one game! Also the over head kick v Lyon.
I believe he's found a new club now?

It's a Trapp!

Not sure what this means for Douchez who's been a good servant to the club, not minding to rot on the bench all those years. Trapp is not that great a goalie (way down the German pecking order) and I'd hate to halt Sirigu's career just because he had an average season. He's a great goalkeeper but the place is so devoid of motivation so I can sort of understand it.
Really pissed of about Cabaye though. We basically ruined a season and a half of this best playing years. We suck.

Yeah feel a little sorry for Douchez. Has done well when called upon. I remember his important save v ASSE last season. Top save!

Agree regarding Cabaye. But didn't really settle into the PSG midfield. Prefer him to mothers boy Rabiot though!

Where do you think PSG need to strengthen? They need more depth as that's what's lacking but need quality too.
