What a photograph, this is taken in Kazakhstan where two relics of the space age are still sitting there left to nature. Its like discovering the remnants of a lost advanced civilisation, it has an ethereal quality to it, almost ghostly, and there is a mixture of feelings when I see this, as those two spacecraft represented great hope, yet are now left to rust away leaving behind a feeling of melancholia.

Universe to end in 'Big Rip' according to latest calculations from Mathematicians/Physicists. This image had slight scaling issues, as Earth will not 'explode' nearly 22 billion years from now, but will be engulfed by The Sun in around 6 billions years when our star comes off the main sequence and starves itself to its eventual demise. Anyway, still an interesting theory about the possible fate of all things (till it all starts off again possibly?)...

Aye, some of the arguments are quite laughable.

Read one person arguing that the person in the US that died did so due to complications from measles not 'of measles'. Now if that even made sense its still not an argument to not vaccinate people.

Then theres the Mercury argument despite it not being in the vast majority of vaccines and the ones it is present in its only trace amounts and would have no effect.

Then theres the autism argument which despite being disproven and Dr Andrew Warfield being disgraces and struck off people still believe.

Then theres the unnatural argument...sometimes made by people wearing glasses, because that's totally natural? No, mate, if you want to go natural youd be walking into trees all the time and have died through Natural Selection.

Then theres the 'its my choice argument'. What, to endanger the lives of your children? To endanger the lives of people who cannot be vaccinated? All on no scientific, provable and, in fact, disproven arguments?

Some people are just idiots. Rant over

Had a fucking massive row with a friend of mine's wife over it once. She kept saying 'no smoke without fire'. This was long after the autism link was completely written off.

Eventually got her to agree to me sending her some genuine info and links, and their lad was eventually given the vaccination. Several years later, no autism. And no measles either.

Remember being a precocious little 10 year old and having an argument with my mums friend who was a head teacher. She was arguing the Autism link...god I wish shed start that argument again now I'm in a lot better position/knowledgeable to argue!

Not recently.

2007. Don't remember having to queue too long for a burger the couple of times we got one. Beautiful place though. That view of the lake gets me every time. The luge was a grin too.

NZ is bloody brilliant though, top to bottom. Best things I did were the Tongariro Crossing trek and the Franz Josef Glacier walk. Amazing days.
