So that's us done? Know next to nothing about any of them as yet tbh - but would have liked to get a stone cold killer up top.

We've just confirmed our 4th signing, attacking mid Graham Carey, a few more of these would be nice -

Squad is coming together really nicely under Derek Adams. It's the first time in a long time the entire fan base seem genuinely excited about the upcoming campaign.

No, we're not done yet. Still in the market for a striker at least - from the ITK types on Outlaws it sounds like we've given Mackail Smith a week to decide and have other targets in mind if not.

One of the two extremely reliably ITK types has heavily implied there will be more incoming before the first game. He also said there will be some outgoings soon which may surprise a few, so I'm guessing it's not the transfer listed ones. Drury would be an obvious one... you'd have to think one of either Jake Howells or Ryan Hall's place would be under threat too after the signing of McCourt and seemingly imminent Green deal. Maybe even people like Lawless or Guttridge might find themselves surplus to requirements at this rate, considering how little they contributed last season. Gutts especially was fit enough for the bench for most of the last months of the season but had seemingly fallen completely out of favour - the signings so far are pointing towards 4-4-2 more often I reckon, which would really limit Gutts' opportunities.

Also, there was a post on there this morning claiming that a player from a "top Championship club" would be signing this week. Another poster backed it up, claiming the initials were "MOB" - which could only be Mark O'Brien, central defender released by Derby this summer. Not sure what to make of it as it hasn't been backed up by either of the reliable two ITK posters yet, but the guy who chimed in with the initials did seemingly pre-empt the McCourt and Okuonge signings the other day and I believe was the first to name Danny Green. Have to see how that one pans out... if it's true, you'd have to think that either McNulty or Wilkinson would be one of the "surprise" exits.

To be honest, I have no clue what's going on now! The last week has been very surprising and suggests a much more thorough rebuilding process than I had been expecting.

Money has said we have irons in the fire but are waiting on clubs to make decisions so Howells is a possibility. When did he hand a transfer request in?

Think I saw it posted on Wednesday night, just as the squad were jetting off to Portugal.

Good spot, I almost missed that one in the shuffle. I think I saw a couple of days ago a whisper that both Howells and Drury hadn't flown to Portugal with the rest of the squad too, so that would fit.

He would seem an obvious one to lose now that we've signed both a left winger and a left back. Not filling in as back-up left back would have cut heavily into his playing time, which was already not exactly that of a nailed on first teamer.

Do you know if we are one of them? I think Money will be interested after he tore Tait a new one at your place last season. We are in the market for a left winger too.

I think that was more of an advert for the limitations of Richard Tait than it was for Jake Howells! Don't expect him to be that effective too often if he does sign for you.

I could definitely see Money being interested if he is available though. The best football of Jake's career came under Money, during Money's first half season. Towards the end of the season when we went on that amazing run and nearly (but not quite :( ) overhauled Stevenage and were smashing teams every week, Jake had nailed down a first team spot playing wide left in a very conventional 4-4-fecking-2. He looked like a real prospect at that point, not progressed much/at all since.

Yeah that is true - Tait was going through his worst spell for us and it was no surprise he was released at the end of the season.
It looks like we will be playing 4-4-2 next season and Money could possibly get the best out of him again. Would Luton want to potentially strengthen a rival?

If he wants out and we aren't overly bothered about keeping him, I don't know that we'd have too many options on that front. I wouldn't anticipate much/any interest from higher leagues. Maybe a smaller League One club might take a punt based on his reputation from a few years ago and our reputation for producing decent youngsters, but his lack of pace already shows at this level. No way he drops back down to the Conference either. So if I were a betting man, my money would be on his next destination being another League Two club if he does leave.

If Luton get Danny Green, thats another excellent addition - He will just need to prove his fitness, been injured alot the last 18 months.

Was excellent whever I saw him play for Dagenham.

I'd like to think we could do better than Howells but Dickie loves a hardworking utility player so it could happen.

I thought the rumour was that we'd made a couple of bids for Howells at the start of pre season but it'd fallen through due to his wage demands?

He looks good on YouTube and that is all that matters, can't seem to work out if he'll play at CB or RB though

No idea who the clubs are unfortunately, I know Cambs were interested previously but that was maybe a month ago and there had been no firm offers. I know he wants to stay local though as he has a young boy in the area, and I'm fairly sure they're league two clubs only. Northampton, Camb, Wimbledon, Stevenage, Barnet, Orient, Oxford.. Potentially one of those.

Just guess work though, 2+2 can equal 5 and all that.

We still need a centre-back though, he is described as one on the official site too
