I think you need to read my posts thoroughly before replying. Then, engage your brain and think it through properly.

We are a medium sized club like Southampton, Leicester and Norwich. A lot of history in the top division and all won a major trophy apart from Leicester. I would have Bradford down with Swindon, Barnsley, Luton and Millwall, not much history in the top division and mostly been in the bottom 2 divisions without winning anything between them with poor crowds (Bradford had 2k in the 80s but you had off the field problems so you can't speak about).

I doubt anyone has ever said 'if someone gets it right again' about Bradford because no one has ever got it right have they? Unless you count lingering in the bottom divisions as getting it right and taking 39 away fans in a Premier League match.

...I think you need to assess what Coventry have actually achieved over the past 20 years or so - absolutely nothing tbh. The truth is, you have a similar structure as the clubs that you have stated, but they're all streets ahead of you currently. This is the biggest obstacle that you're wishing not to see.

You're clearly on a wind up now, and I won't be entertaining you for much longer - firstly, because you're deluded in your reasoning and secondly, you keep repeating yourself.

I gave you a slight clue before as to why we took so few fans to Coventry that day, but have you ever really questioned why? Now, bare in mind we sold out pretty much everywhere we went in the Prem Day's ....so again, ask yourself why the away day at Cov was different.

You said earlier on in this thread that Cov cannot use poor owners as an excuse for 'poor' crowds. So, what is the reason for 39 away fans in a premier league match?

Will you make me look as stupid as the Bradford City team did in the reserve cup final? That would be very huliminating for me if that was the case and I wouldn't like you to do that

Hey....... dont bring us into this handbag fight, we know what we are and what our support is, but for your information we have won more trophies than Coventry, but im not in the mood to argue about silly and non important things like season ticket sales and attendences, there's far more important things in life to think about.

This was after we won the league cup, we played AS Roma in a Cup winners cup, beat them 6-1 over 2 legs, also later on after the season had finished we played, in the first Anglo-Italian cup, these were the days that the Italians took it seriously, we played Juventas and Napoli in the first stage , beating Juventas's first team at home 4-0 and 1-0 away, Playing Napoli in the final in Italy in front of 55.000 winning 3-0 , match abandoned after 79 minutes due to the Italian fans rioting, we were awarded the trophy.

If people are interested in what will happen to this club if we get a promotion finally:

In 1964 we got promoted from the old division 3 (our league now) with 26,000 average crowd. We then were in division 2 (championship) for 2 years with 28,000 and 27,000 crowds before gaining promotion to the 1st division (Premier League) with 34,000 crowds in the first season, 33,000 in the second and 32,000 in the third.

So, Firthy you can sit there and try and deny all my points all you want, however facts cannot lie (just like Bradford had 2k home fans in the 80s and 4k throughout the 90s). A successful Coventry City team and the fans would be buzzing again and filling stadiums each week and we wouldn't need cheap season tickets to do it either. Now...if we just had the best manager in the league to get us some success. Oh, what's that? Tony Mowbray manages Coventry City? That's one box ticked already then!

I am also willing to bet you (for a charity/contribution to the forum, not to go halfway towards your Bradford season ticket next year) £20 that we finish above Bradford City. Let me know if you're willing to make up on this my little friend.

It is either him or Adkins, yes. I'm not sure who else comes close for experience. He got Hibs in the top 4 twice in the 2 seasons he was there, this was the first time since 1968 Hibs had done that. He also managed Hibs in Europe twice, which they hadn't had for a long time.

He got West Brom promoted after having to restructure the whole club after Robson's mismanagement and played the best football WBA fans have ever seen. He bought in players like Olsson, Mulumbu, Morrison and Brunt who have been great players for them over the years.

He did poor at Celtic by all accounts.

At Boro he bought in many good players who are still at the club and nearly got promoted last season. Many Middlesbrough fans believe he laid the foundations for the club to be successful, getting rid of players on high wages and bringing in players who were better on much less wages.

Getting Hibs into the top 4 of a weak 12 team league doesn't count as success. Most if not all League One level teams would expect to make the top 4 in the SPL.

He's a decent manager but there are a few at this level.

Did two season in there's in league two and I'd say most of the top tier has a cracking view. However the cons massively outweigh the pros. Definitely a crap stand overall

100 is exaggerating but even in the top tier, if you're on the first few rows you have that bar in front of you and there are the pillars to contend with throughout the stand. And the facilities are non-existent. £25 for a seat in there is a disgrace by us. If you're gonna charge £25 at least put away fans in the end of the Midland Road, the vast majority of away followings will fit in there and it's actually a decent stand.

We've sold just short of 3100 after the early bird deadline passed. Down by around 200 which isn't too bad considering 90% (including our own fans) think we'll be relegated by September.
