Perfect time to play the more fancied sides, right at the start, so I'm quite happy.

Time to start grovelling for a shift swap for opening day for myself...
See you on Boxing Day, best start shopping for my prezzie now. No ties though. :ds:

Happy with ours. The only bit of madness is the whole Torquay away on a winter's night thing repeating itself, which is crackers for a part time team to deal with. Otherwise we've finally got the larger northern sides at home on Saturdays, and no particularly horrific runs either. Apparently this is the eighth consecutive time that we've been drawn away first game of the season while in the Conference.

Delighted with ours, Lincoln away will be a good test. Kiddy away on Boxing Day is the only away game I would have been happy with. FGR away on a Tues is a bit shite.

I should be happy with Torquay away on a bank holiday weekend in August, unfortunately though it's my birthday so no chance of going now. May try and have a word with the wife....

Happy with ours, got Torquay away on a Saturday for the first time in forever albeit in October. But whoever thought that away to Barrow on a Saturday and then away to Tranmere the following Tuesday was a good idea needs help.

Brabin is probably not the best manager in the league (that would be Gary Johnson) although he's obviously experienced in managing at this level and being a scouser with an understanding of the club was a big draw in the eyes of Mark Palios. He doesn't have much to follow after last season's failures...
Gary Johnson is unproven at this level, doubt he's as good as Neil Aspin. I would rather have Brabin, but we got Burr so it's all conjecture at the moment. Be interesting to see if Mills does well, because his signings don't seem to have improved Wrexham ... on paper at least.

A few thoughts from ours..:

- Wrexham away on a tuesday for the first away game is a killer start.
- On the whole, it's a very tough August in my opinion, but hopefully we'll catch a few teams off guard early on.
- August Bank Holiday Monday fixtures are down as a 7.45 KO? I sincerely hope that's a cock up on our website!? JUst checked further and it's the same with the game between BD/NYD.

Bit of a kick in the nuts if they are, and certainly makes it very difficult if you wanted to use public transport!

They were 3pm last year, however, so I am hoping it's just an error.

I would be very happy in your position, having "stolen" our Festive Season games against Kiddy. I wouldn't be to unhappy about coming to ours on a Tuesday, at least it is closer than some of the possible away games, plus it is in September rather than the depths of winter. Definitely a fixture I am looking forward to! Would you rather be heading to Torquay on Boxing Day, rather than competing with Bank Holiday traffic on the M5?

Not sure what to expect starting at Bromley never seen them play. Happy with Southport over christmas and new year. Chester and Tranmere within a few days? Doubt Chester will stay 3pm kick off on the Saturday though

You're right, I am happy in the main. The only issue with the Tuesday game at yours is that the missus is busy on Tuesday nights so makes them difficult as I have the kids. I'm sure I'll work something out though.

Wouldnt read much into the BBC. They could be misinformed. Although I would be very surprised if their are any other than 3pm KOs.
