Who knows, you might bring a fair following for once :fish:

Haha who knows.

I won't be going, I'm still having neck problems after sitting past the edge of the pitch and looking left for 90 minutes.

Doubt it considering nobody gives a single shit!
Haha, I was only joking, but you're probably our most attractive opposition this pre season.

Haha who knows.

Yeah that's still a problem, and it's so unnecessary. I'm glad I won't have to experience it, though the rest of the ground is top notch...

Aye, it's a weird ground Brunton Park, absolute ball-ache in that away end when it's sunny, can't see a thing.

Our Friendly with Villa in Portugal has been cancelled for some unknown reason.

Feel for those poor bastards who have forked out to go over there to watch it, but then again, if you can afford to go and watch us in a Pre-Season Tour in Portugal, money probably isn't a worry for you.

Fuck sake. Don't they realise that Bristol City took 900 to Bradford when they were already promoted. They would take at least 10,000 over to Portugal to play Villa, stupid decision from them.

Our pre-season fixtures look pretty bizarre but some different games in there, plus a good away day at York City. No big names but a home game on our new pitch with the brand new tele.

Saturday 11th July- Alfreton Town (A)
Wednesday 15th July- Ilkeston Town (A)
Saturday 18th July- York City (A)
Friday 24th July- Braga (N)
Wednesday 29th July- Scunthorpe United (A)
Saturday 1st August- St Mirren (H)

Ah, glad you're back, I've missed a fan from a minnow club around here :)

Oh - and we weren't already promoted that night laa.

Why is a Coventry fan obsessed with Bristol City so much?

Like I said I have never had a problem with Bristol City, a nice non offensive family club. Just one of their fans made a ridiculous claim based on potential.

I wish them good luck in the Championship and maybe one day they will play in the Premier League. :)

Still no news on who will replace Benfica for our home friendly. It's going to be laughable how shit a team it will be

Doubt it, originally we weren't even selling tickets ... after some complaints they released 250 but think they were all snapped up within a couple of hours.

Espanyol are playing Southampton the day after the game with us so will probably be some of their first team with some of their youngsters.

Villarreal at home as the replacement for Benfica. Have to say, that isn't a bad fixture at all

We are now playing FC Braga instead of the Villa. Portuguese police wouldn't allow 2 English clubs to play in Portugal even though hardly anyone was going (around 300 City fans were going, I believe).
We are also playing Farense while in Portugal.

Kicked off last year or the year before when forest played hibs that will be why. Plus id guess villa will have plenty there so theres was defo potential for a scrap between villa and bristol city.

Blimey, that's a pity BM89 and I wasn't aware of that.
I suppose that's a fair enough reason but it doesn't change the fact that City and Villa fans will still be in the same area at the same time as they are playing Braga just before we play Farense so fans will still travel, not that City and Villa have any particular issues unless there was something in the 70's. We haven't played them in a long, long time.

No but groups of blokes in the sun abroad getting bladdered with football involved theres always a pretty fair chance it will kick off so its understandable the portuguese police will do there best to avoid it. Wednesday are there too not sure what dates though but they are playing braga

We had our first pre season game today. Once a season we play a local non league side (not them) as a community fund raiser.
We played Brislington and Keynsham Town (unibond standard) and won 5-0. Pretty much a traditional ice breaker but it raised a few quid for the 2 clubs so it's all good. No new faces yet but I'm sure there will be a few in next week, at least I bloody hope so!
Bath City next on Friday.

We played a behind doors friendly verses Millwall today in Portugal. Finished 0-0. Was a cracker by all accounts.
