Your obviously keeping your cards close to your chest which is fair play. Can you say if It is anything to be getting excited about?

I'd be happy with it as a Bradford fan. As a Peterborough fan, I'm not.

John Lundstram to decide on a move later. If not we'll sign David Fox. Happy with either but the Lundstram signing could pose the dire need for an experienced head in the side (Alan Tate hopefully).
He was great in the second half of our title winning season. Congratulations

With how shit this league looks next season, it's the standout so far IMO.
Hmm I suppose, still very small squad and it's hard to tell how a lot of their players will get on in this league.

Just seen Grant Holt is still playing for them.

Craig Davies isn't great to be fair, certainly not a player who should be playing regularly for a team hoping to get automatics.

Not that he will play reguarly, his hamstrings are made of linguine.

If I left this forum there would be disastrous consequences.

Cheers

You wouldn't know he didn't even play for you last season. He was playing for a club battling for automatic promotion. Andy Williams and Gary Makenzie are still in their twenties so you are very very wrong.

We have a young squad with the likes of Liam Wakefield and Mitchell Lund coming through the ranks so we needed some players

Richie Wellens, James Coppinger. Young...

Anyway, my point wasn't that these players were old, but that they've got bugger all to prove, that goalie aside. Chaplow wants a wedge, not a challenge.

But Coppinger is still very very good. And he's been with us for 12 seasons so your 'last payday' comment is void.

Richie Wellens is a different matter and he's on a rather large amount of money but fuck it we can afford him.

I could easily say we regularly played Luke McCullogh, Mitchell Lund and Liam Wakefield last season. The former is now an NI international and the latter two have come through our academy. All were great successes.

In our title winning season we had a far inferior squad. Neil Sullivan, Rob Jones, Jamie McCombe, Billy Paynter and Chris Brown had nothing to prove and they were all in their 30's....

We've got 11 first team squad players under 21 Jockney so a few older heads are needed. As for Chaplow he may have played at a higher level but he's won bugger all so it's up to him really. I think we are stronger and a lot more solid than last season already but still need 4/5 more signings.

Where would you say we need to strengthen?

OK mate because you can really judge someone's personal life of a forum. That makes perfect sense.

Signed a young American called Jonathan Lewis today from the RIASA scheme, same academy Nahki Wells came through. Doubt he will be as good.

Sam Ricketts confirmed. One year deal.
Best defender in the league. Should win the title easily now

I agree. I am pleased for both parties. Ricketts is a star.
What's great about him is that he's a real leader, and he's at his best when things aren't going well. He generates energy and gets everyone's heads up and focused.
I'm obviously very biased, but believe you can build a team around him. Personally, I'd much prefer he was still at Molineux. Still haven't forgiven you for Keane either.

Bradford fans think they have a chance of signing Reda if he doesn't stay with us.

Bradford City are now the most deluded fans I've ever come across even worse than Leicester who think they are a Champions League club.

If RJ ends up at Bradford or even another League 1 team excluding us I will donate £50 to the forum.

Not sure if they know the wages (I think) he's on for a start.

Personally wouldn't want him - he's basically Cov's version of Andrew Davies in that he's a good player but very injury prone. We need someone who can partner McArdle in the vast majority of games next season. No idea who that could be though.

Think 'deluded' is a bit harsh - 'ambitious' is perhaps a more apt description?

I've seen our fans suggest we should sign him for our promotion push back to the Championship. Take that how you want but the conclusion I think you should draw from that is that our fans are idiots.
I'm unsure. No doubt his a good player to have at the club, full of experience and knowledge and don't think he's the sort just playing to pick up a wage but in terms of actual footballing ability.. Not a clue

Tony McMahon has confirmed that he turned down offers from Doncaster and that massive club Coventry City to sign with us instead.

Relax. It was a joke. Nothing personal. Nothing malicious. It's July. I'm bored of waiting for the season to start.

Oh no. He must be a very good player to be part of the Blackpool team which got relegated without a wimper. If that's the type of signing you are making then you may as well give £10 to the forum now and £10 to the fire service!
