Great win for Lancs last night - they were in real trouble at one point. Superb all-round performance from Steve Croft; excellent with the bat and ball, some great captaincy and topped it off with a stunning catch!

I have a feeling that Notts are going to sneak 4th place though...

Ashwell Prince (229 not out) and Alviro Petersen (270 not out) are breaking all sorts of records down at Colwyn Bay. Reports suggest they're playing beautifully but it's apparently a remarkably flat deck, which does Glamorgan no favours as they could really do with the win. Therefore, the draw has to be favourite, but full batting points and denying Glamorgan any bowling points is more than useful.

However, if Prince manages 9 more runs then they'll have both scored their highest ever score in the same innings. No matter how flat the pitch, this is an extraordinary partnership.

Apparently, the largest ever partnership for any wicket in the County Championship is 555. They're not that far off that, you know...

Another easy win for yorkshire. 34 points clear with a game in hand, still unbeaten too. Completely dominating the league this year despite constantly losing players to england duty. Root, lyth , ballance , bairstow , rashid and plunkett.
