Derby, like Leeds are a one-city team. A huge catchment area with no alternatives, so they will pull in the fans logistically.
Charlton bus them in from outlying areas, Derby don't have to.

There's not a lot else in Derby sports wise to be honest, no rugby, no ice hockey, no basketball. It's pretty much a football mad city.

The new Arena/Velodrome hosted a major cycling event a couple of weeks ago over three days and that was a huge success but didn't impact on the gate v Charlton for us.

Interestingly though, we do have significant support around the County, and on a match day outside the stadium you will see loads of buses from towns like Ashbourne, Swadlincote, Chesterfield and Buxton. Burton Albion struggle with their gates as we have always attracted huge support from Burton area.

It's all fascinating stuff, to me anyway.

Did you all boycott Boro as well JJH?
I was there pal, unfortunately with not many others.

No real blame being handed out although, it's a hell of a long way away and I expected a trouncing. But - first two games back in the Championship, our followings have been pretty poor.

Having said that, I still think we'll average more than last season, just because of the sheer amount of local games in this division.

There's also the south west supporters club, they have a coach load for every home game.

very good that
Yeah but there will be a few less attending their games this season when the photos of the idiots encroaching onto the pitch reach their local plod. I especially liked the salad dodger in the sweaty blue T-shirt who kicked the ball away then returned to the stands to celebrate his upcoming banning order.

I think Winkelman would give you as many tickets as you like but clearly been told not to. He definitley wouldn't turn down all that potential money. You'll all be in the home end anyway.

In fairness sections of the crowd can get rowdy, but there's nothing wrong with a bit of chanting. Although i do remember an incident at Ashton Gate in 2012, but couldn't see if it was anything big or not. And plus there has been some of your fans convicted of racism (I think). Oh, and that Leeds fan punching the Wednesday keeper in the face.

The Leeds fans were rather rude today. There as a chant about Tom Ince and his Dad being 'c***'.

aye, we should be capped at 300, so no singing can happen like at 90% of other grounds

Just break up your journey into seperate tickets.

Derby > MK is £37rtn. Then buy one Derby > Leeds for about £34 rtn.
Or try splitting Leeds > Birmingham > MK etc.
If two of you go regularly, buy a Two Together Railcard and save 33% off each trip.
Train travel doesn't have to be too expensive, you just have to put a little bit of effort into your planning.

Scandalous that you can't use a rail booking website, more like.

Leeds Milton Keynes is £97.80 off peak return. If you're under 25, get a rail card and it's £64.55. With split ticketing it's £56.90 return without a railcard, even cheaper if you have a railcard.
If you travel in a group of three or more travelling together you can do it for £37.50 return. And call me optimistic, but I'm guessing there'll be more than three people doing that journey at that time on that day.

So "nearly £200" isn't "right"; it's bollocks. It can be £37.50.

(You're welcome)

At this stage of the season for a nothing game I think BIrminghams support is spot on at MK. Taking more for cup games or crunch league games or watching a winning team deep into the season will always swell the away attendance so as always not comparible to others 'taking twice as much' etc.

Top effort that from Birmingham City. Kudos. It's just short of half we took there in League 1. For such a small team, you're doing a cracking job these days. :bravo:
Let me know if Wolves manage to sell out their allocation at St. Andrews this time. It has always been a bit of a struggle for you lot to turn up.

To be honest, it's a grim day out and there are better trips...well pretty much anywhere really. Even a day out in Gomorrah would be brighter than the shit end of Coventry Road. This is why we took 9,000 to Milton Keynes in league 1 and you took..oh wait....just 4,500.

But - bless - it was such a big day out for you at the Winkeldrome that you are posting photos of the event. Who knew they had moved your Wembley to Buckinghamshire as well as Wimbledon!
