Only noise Wrexham made was when they scored. Thought I strayed into a library for most of the game.:ds:

Decided go Hillsborough instead today, at least I didn't care about the result there.

Fuck off Macc, Fuck right off.

Living in Sheffield you have no idea how envious I am, especially as I missed kick off due to horrendous traffic getting through the Peak District.

Completely devastating last few minutes, despite not playing great we should've been out of sight after a spell after scoring. Still refuse to play two strikers up front which wastes Dennis out wide, and ended up getting pushed back and unable to get out of our box for the last ten minutes. Last year we would've won that 1 0, we have the same limited attacking threat but not the defensive resilience to hold out anymore.

All in all we're pants. Grimsby might actually beat us at their place. I might hibernate until next August.

Grimsby dominated? That's news to me. We were poor but that doesn't mean they were great by default. It was a scrappy game with little quality on show, aside from Bogle's neat turn and finish.

Without Hearn we were always going to struggle, we just have nothing going forward at all. But Grimsby weren't a great deal better, even when they had eleven on the pitch. They missed a sitter in the first minute or two (or a fabulous save from Farman, depending on your viewpoint), but other than that we weren't really tested. Of course that doesn't excuse our complete ineptitude to take advantage following Gowling's self-destruction (who has nobody else to blame but himself), we didn't even attempt to extend our lead when it was 1-0 and neither did we go for a winner when Grimsby equalised. Moyses has to take the blame for that as well as the fitness of his side, who looked exhausted after 70 minutes despite having a man extra.

But a point was fair, neither side did enough to win it. Of course Grimsby will be the happier of the two, but let's not pretend they were robbed and were actually battering us - at the time of the red card and goal there was half an hour on the clock and they had created one clear goalscoring chance and a half-chance for Arnold.

Going back to Gowling for a second - the guy's a liability, always has been and always will be. And it's never his fault. I'm not sure if he's swung a punch or what, but he's certainly hauled Rhead to the ground when the ball was no where near them.
Fair do's, i was just going off your forum and my cousin who was there.
On the Gowling/Rhead situation Rhead has said that he went to ground 'professionally', so in other words the fat tool dived, alhough agreed Gowling shouldn't have given him the option to do so, silly boy.

I dropped a pin at one point and found it straight away. :bdick:

Is this supposed to make absolutely zero sense? Come on B2TF get your idioms right.

Gowling knows exactly what sort of player Rhead is though, he tweeted himself it was unprofessional to get involved with his antics. Nsiala dealt with him much better when he came on, just concentrating on winning headers.

I said at the start of the season it can't get much worse than the last two years. Turns out it can get ALOT worst, and on the basis of the last two showings we'll be lucky to avoid another relegation battle.

Hardly dived - he got grabbed by the throat.

Unfortunately, as we all know, refs don't give the big calls unless players go down.

Underestimate Altrincham at your peril

Very happy with that result (happy with any win). I felt that Tranmere had shot their bolt with 15 minutes to go, but a silly goal made for a very tense final 10 minutes.

Another rerun of pevious games. Great first half were we failed to take chances and should have been further clear. Only to tire in the second half concede two god awful goals. Both via unfortunate deflections but we made our own Luck.

We need to learn quickly otherwise we will be heading to the Nothern League.

Things need to change at the club. Nicky and Wayne need to go.

Welcome to Non League mate. Alty did likewise to Bristol Rovers last season. Look where they ended up. Long way to go yet.

Less said about us the better. Fuck me we're shit Burrows and Tuton aside).

Wrexham were excellent going forwards and Vose is a step above. However, we made Moke look like Messi by giving him hours on the ball - any kind of pressure and he bottled it.

As I say Wrexham were good going forwards but looked suspect defensively. Fyfield is awful and Vidal shaky. Manny Smith was okay, but I can see why he's still in the Conference and Mark Roberts is in League 1.

As I say excellent going forwards but sides less shit than us will cause them lots of problems.

Hmm I think you need to look in the mirror, see that thing above your throat - its wider than your throat. If you were grabbed by the throat you are more likely to stay standing than fall over, unless you want to of course. Fair play to Rhead it was almost risk free play - give Gowling a bit of hug in the Gy box if he reacts, bingo, you hit the jackpot pen plus red card. If he doesn't worst you'll get is free kick and maybe a yellow. I wish football was more like rugby in that a bit of 50:50 argy bargy just gets a finger wagging from the ref, but it isn't and Gowling should know that.

Overall Lincoln looked poor but wasn't expecting much. This Town team are the best footballing side for at Gy for a long time but lacking something: - killer instinct, nouse, being street wise, not sure exactly what but it is something. As I said before Hurst seems to have an eye for technically good players but also seems to be an "unlucky" manager and winners make their own luck...also Jimmy Mack' is giving me the jitters at the moment - even the kids picked that up, is handling isn't clean and that gives the defence the jitters - Lincoln could have snatched it near the end with a poacher like Hearn.

Have a look at the match thread on Vital Lincoln you clueless idiot.
Everyone on there says we were all over you until your goal and all say you were very lucky to get a point against 10 men.
I guess they were all watching a different game to you then pal?
In protest at being dominated by 10 men, why not threaten to not go again this season?

When do we get to play the tinpot teams? In hindsight we've done fairly well to only lose one of our opening six games (Cheltenham, Braintree, Eastleigh, Macclesfield, Forest Green and Grimsby).

It doesn't get any easier either, Gateshead and Wrexham up next.

Talking bollocks? You did nothing in the first half. Granted, we were abysmal the second, you deserved a point definitely, but that doesn't take away the fact that you're an idiot who struggles to string two sentences together.

Come back when you're on my level.

In all fairness, he was there, and you weren't. His interpretation based on what he saw is better than you guessing from what others have said.

I don't think you will have too much to worry about on Monday as we are not as good as our results suggest.

Adriano Moke has played well against everybody this season, not just Halifax. Not sure how he won man of the match over Vose though. Vose was sensational, particularly in that first half. Has to be the best attacking player we've had since being non-league. And yeah, we are definitely stronger going forward than defending. Well noticed. It will be interesting to see how we get on against one of the better sides in the league on Monday.

Played Macclesfield twice already - fixtures like in the 50s when teams play each other home and away in a week?

Not surprised you've only lost twice, you seem to have a certain resilience despite most of the side being unable to control and pass a football very well. And a decent keeper, although he looks a bit on the small side...
