What a weird bloke, no idea what we've ever done to him.

Is it not the first time he's blathered on about us? Like I said, honestly not a clue why apart from him having played about 2 games for Darlo.

To be fair Ronnie Moore's tweets were setting himself up for a big fall.

I think he needs to lay off twitter, he comes across as having the mental capacity of a 7 year old.

They're taking the piss out of him on the radio now :lol:

Lummy is ecstatic that we've beaten Pools today, some great reactions after our goals too.

Not actually sure as I say, he supports us obviously and seems to get caught up in the supposed rivalry. He said when we scored he grabbed the BBC reporter to his left and nearly pulled him off his chair.

I certainly cringed a bit when he said 'it's our cup final'

He needs to learn that Carlisle never were have been or will be. Admittedly it's a bit more disappointing losing to them than Wycombe for example but it's just a game that attracts a bit of a larger crowd like against York.

Our derby will not be around for a number of years yet.

Brilliant from Paynter laughing in Curle's face when he scored having previously wept in front of him, and then to go on and lose it as well.

When you get relegated enough times to play Darlington?

Well if we'd been relegated last year, there'd have been only two divisions between us. They'll be in the Conference in a few seasons and who's to say we'll not be there too. Never say never in football. I never joined in the chants of 'we'll never play you again' when we dicked them at the Reynold's Arena the last time we met. These things can bite you on the arse.

Aye, if you read a bit more carefully it was in response to one of your fans earlier about Ronnie on twitter

Not into this gloating from some of our fans. It's only one game and we've still to play them at home. As they say, what goes around comes around.

Jabo has come around and he will be back around with another brace in the reverse fixture.

Reading our forum it seems that Magnay coming off at half time changed the game. No protection to the back four and we got overran again in the middle.

We're definitely about two centre mids light. No ball winner at all.

That's if he's not been sold for peanuts by then
Curle mentioned that in the post-match, I wouldn't be surprised if a League 1 club came in but it would cause so much outrage amongst the fans that even our board aren't stupid enough to let him go.

Player of the Month has to go to Jabo, surely?

Our 7 games this season have seen 29 goals. Value for money, but the defence needs to be improved still if we want to have a decent season.

2 winnable home games next, which we'll go into full of confidence following 2 great wins.

Sounds like we were back to the 3-3-4 formation today. Obviously we got the result but i think more often than not our wide players need to be playing primarily as defenders.

Not having strength in depth cost us today ,.and will in the future ... We are still 4 or 5 decent players short of a play off challenge ... The 4 forwards we have will score loads with a decent midfield behind them

Defiantly? If you're going into games wanting to be second best then I can see your problem.
Not going into them wanting to be second best , simply recognising that on the day you were , and instead of trying to find someone or something to blame , getting on with fixing it , for me we have a lightweight midfield and no depth to the squad , better off accepting that than blaming a post or a ref for everything ...

Not even a little concerned at your defence ?
Looks like Curle wants to spend some of the Potts/Dempsey money on a signing and I'd be surprised if it wasn't a centre back, we have plenty of options everywhere else. We've been playing full backs in centre back all season so far and we still aren't doing too badly, the Dempsey money could buy us a really good centre back with plenty to spare and if that happens we'll be looking pretty good.

Yeah.

I thought we'd found a formula that works on Tuesday at QPR, where our 3 centre backs played narrow and our wing backs defended as well. By the sound of it today we were back to the 3-3-4 formation where our "wing backs" spend most of the game in the oppo half.

We also have about 250k coming our way from the Anfield trip. Definitely should be signing a quality defender and maybe get Leacock signed as well once he's fit.
