Great following from Walsall and decent from Chesterfield.

Burtons was poor considering their form and position. They had 800 at ours on a Friday night in the 7-1 game.

Ours was ok considering our huge following midweek and having to pay £25 to sit in something resembling a scaffold.

1,803 happy Saddlers at Bloomfield Road. Excellent following for a club of our size.

All things considered, that will be hard to top as the following of the season (home gates especially taken in to account)

Cracking following from Walsall, blackpool on august bank holiday is very apealing especially when at the top of the table, but still following of the season so far.

Near 800 to Wigan was decent for us considering where we are in the the league (again) listened on radio the radio and dont think ive heard our fans make so much niose as constant as they did.

Why were Rochdale only allocated 900 for Blackpool? Even they could have took more than that.

I think it was because it was the first game after the invasion v Huddersfield and they wanted to be careful it didn't happen again.

Good turn out from our lot, we always seem to travel well to Blackpool and the recent run/bank holiday boosted the numbers.

Over 700 for our local derby with Peterborough is pretty decent I think.

Good following by Walsall, but it was expected. Still a long way to go in the season for someone to beat it as 'following of the season'.

We will throw loads out the bag if we carry on doing well and supporters 'wake' up, it's only recent years our away figures have gone proper shit, since the Dann and Fox selling basically. Lowest they get (it seems) is the 300 or so average we've often got over the past few seasons. Always had shit home games but the away support was a hell of a lot better number wise. Especially to places like Chesterfield and Notts.

That's why I don't get all this best away following of the season stuff. That's not a dig at Walsall, the opposite actually, I think 1800 to Blackpool is really good, but not a surprise. Walsall are big enough to expect a following like that; top of the league, bank holiday, Blackpool...1800 is to be expected.

True i suppose. Remember us taking around 2k, maybe more in our 02/03 promotion season. Even struggling this season we will still probably take between 700-1000 in October.

I agree to be honest mate, it's a great following but nothing out of this world, my dad said to me when the fixture was out, 'we'll probably take 2,000 there'. We travelled well when called upon, and given success we have top quality away support. Averaged over a thousand in the League Two winning season, with only 5,000 at home games still.

It's like I said, of late all it's been is the hardcore lot home and away a poor reflection of what we actually are.

Southend following tonight beats Walsall. Very vocal too.

Yeah because a Coventry fan would know how vocal Walsall fans were at Blackpool

Didn't say anything about Walsall's noise. In numbers the Southend following was as good, and probably better.
