But it isn't. Do you think when anyone interviews clement they say "so Paul, that's no wins in 9 now"?

Mate, end of last season you weren't winning games. This season, you aren't winning games. Nothing has changed if you look at it results-orientated, simple as that irrespective of who you have managing you.

If it makes you feel better, it's "Hey Paul that's no wins in SIX now, winless start to your campaign."

If anyone could give us a centre midfielder that would be fantastic.

Cook looked brilliant today, feel for Antenucci who's looked lively when he's come on. You can't see Rosler changing anything for the next match (barring injuries in the international break etc).

Agreed. Reckon Murphy will push Mowatt but you can't leave out Adeyemi or Cook.

Makes our unbeaten run look much better now. If we can get a win at home to Brentford next then our start has been very decent.

About time. Nice one Derby.

Great first half, thought Derby were gonna kick on after their goal but after weathering that it was open again. What a goal from Wood who wasn't at his best though and Cook outstanding.

Wood is the sort of player who will do fuck all for most of the game but will win it for you with a moment or two of quality. I miss him...

Yeah think people are starting to understand this. His link up play can be good, but like Beckford for us, a few poor touches here and there and you think he's not really done much, but can pop up where it matters. I'm not too fussed what my strikers do (especially in the football league) so long as they find the net - important that he has got off to a decent start as people were questioning the signing after a ridiculously short period of time.

Can't believe that's the same Wood that missed an open goal playing against/with us (can't actually remember) .

Fully deserved win for Leeds.

We can't play well for 20 minutes of a game and expect us to get anything out of it. If our finishing was on point, which it hasn't been all season, we should have gone a couple up during our decent spell. Jeff Hendricks chance which was a couple of yards short of a penalty, really should be hitting the back of the net. Then Russell's chance and especially Weimann's one on one.. Got to be scoring. A clear lack of quality.

We need someone in through the door this week as in the middle we're missing something. I like Hendrick and Hanson but they're not good enough for a team that wants to be challenging up at the top IMO. A replacement for Hughes is crucial over the next few days.

Certainly not panicing but it's been a very slow start. Some big players that aren't performing anywhere near to their ability. Thankfully we're not running out of games like last year. Long way to go.

Reckon you'll get it right soon enough, too much quality not to. I said to my mates at HT that there's no way we'd be as comfortable in the second half, I'm just glad we got through that very strong spell at 1-1 and then it was anyone's game again when we got back into it.

Just from this one game, I'd agree the midfield was perhaps where you lost it. Especially in the first half, our three had the control in there and then got some back when the average Mowatt was replaced by Murphy for the last twenty minutes or whatever it was. Who are your strongest midfielders? You always seem to have players who pop up in there when fit; obviously Hughes...is Bryson injured or is he not as good as sometimes he appears from the outside?

As for us, it's nice to have plenty of options in centre mid. What was once some combination of Michael Brown, Michael Tonge, Paul Green and David Norris, is now full of young and hungry players. Adeyemi and Cook have got their positions tied down but to have Mowatt, Murphy, Phillips and Antenucci fighting it out for the other position depending on how attacking we're going, is a very nice problem to have.

Hughes is out now for another 5 months or so. Bryson should be back after the international break. They both got injured against Bolton within 20 minutes.

A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
I watched about an hour of this before heading off to our own game. Some decent stuff for periods from Derby, but the cutting edge was missing. That happens, and it can come right with time, Derby have too many very good individuals in attack for it not to come right.

But I'd have to look at Derby's defence which seemed pretty casual, it wasn't exactly put under heavy sustained pressure much, for long periods it was just sat there recycling possesion. Yet when it came to the hard work, it was unpicked quite easily. The winning goal is a fine strike, no mistake. But there's 6 Derby players around the ball, and not one of them makes a meaningful challenge or attempt to close the ball down.

I don't want to jump on the bandwagon of questioning Clement just yet, but it's beginning to become concerning.

He couldn't have wished for a worse start though, our best player gets injured for 6 months within the first 20 minutes of the season, and now with Thorne yesterday every single one of our midfielders has been injured.

Um, you really don't need Bent. Can we have him on loan please. :gr:

Oh and you'll have to pay 95% of his wages as we are a bit short of cash :bg1:
