Saw both videos that were uploaded to Twitter before the account got shut down. To me it all looked very off and my impressions were that it was fake. It was strange how he was able to walk right up to them, gun in hand and yet the two women be completely oblivious to him (cameraman was facing other way). Then he appears to fire shots directly at the woman who doesn't actually get hit. Very very strange.

Yeah that's true I remember Dunblane well as I was going to my dad's girlfriends funeral that day and it was a doubly horrible day for the family.

The fact that it is a regular occurrence in America that some nut blows people away without any real motive is disturbing to the extreme however. Yes other countries will have their fair share of tragedies like the Sweden gunman the other year, but you never hear of anything as bad as that in Canada where per head of population there is more guns and thats just across their border.

It seems to be as regular as Thanksgiving Day over there.
For me, gun is not the only problem. Too much frustration, stress, and anger build up inside most people who live in the U.S. Just need to work here or even go to the stores and see how easily people get angry here.

A friend of mine was in Philadelphia the other month for a conference and she said the atmosphere there was scary especially the tension amongst the whites and blacks. Obviously that's another issue but if it's representive of a lot of places there then it seems to always be a powderkeg ready to blow and by the sounds of things people just lose it and reach for their guns without thinking or of the potential consequences.

I had a guild mate on a game I used to play from Tennessee, ex-Army and cop till his back went, and he sounded the type of person you don't mess with and he proudly told me he had over 22 guns, rifles and shotguns in his home. He was a good guy but scary in that regard.

Apparently the guy shot himself - but survived.

One is interviewing and the other is being interviewed live on TV... you aren't going to turn your head to something even if you see it in your peripheral vision.

As for the whole situation, fucked up.

I really hope that's true. I'd sooner someone faced justice than find solace in the end of their own gun, even if that justice is the death sentence (which I don't agree with BTW).

I agree, though painful thought that he's shot 3 people and sadly he's the one out of all of them that looks like surviving it.

Absolute horror story. We live in a horrible world.

As for the coward who shot them, I hope he does survive, and gets everything he deserves. Although saying that - it would sadden me that he's shot three people, and he's the only one to survive it.

I'm not sure, and perhaps it's just me, but if I was in that position the last thing I would be thinking of doing so soon after the incident would be posting on Twitter. Talk about a social media world.

Shot with a low caliber handgun which would explain the lack of blood and impact reaction from the reporter. She definitely got hit by at least one of the first eight rounds.

Horrible cycle of wanting guns to be banned and this continuing to happen - people who want it banned have got no chance while the NRA still exist.

Bryce Williams is the suspect. He was sacked from the broadcasting company not too long ago, and held a grudge.

Sick, sick man.

Suspect died.

Seen the live broadcast video, curiosity got the better of me. I'm generally desensitised to most of what the internet can throw at me but there's something about those gut wrenching screams that make the whole thing suddenly a lot more real and make me realise what a horribly traumatic and violent way that is to die. This stuff happning doesn't surprise me any more though, social media quickly destroys the innocence of youth.

On a positive note, the third victim is in a stable condition.

Watched the pov video. Fuck me.
How was the news lady able to turn 180 degrees and run after being shot 3 times in the chest?

Watched both. Shocked me quite a bit to be honest. What a fucked up world we live in where day to day things such as sackings lead to someone pulling a gun out.

I hope he survives and then faces jail and to watch the families grief. c*** isn't the word for him.

White cop shoot 'innocent' black man > Civil outrage > riots > towns aburnin' > innocent cops murdered.

Gay black man shoots two innocent white people > gun problem. Go figure.

The above come from an American friend I've worked with for years and who is now on the brink of turning in his passport and becoming a British citizen he is so disillusioned with America.

Tell him to apply for his passport in Calais.
