Some of our prepubescent scum jumping on cars outside Alty, chanting Su' Whi' Army. Almost all of the cars belonged to Tranmere fans...

Altrincham needing to borrow some of our stewards..

To be fair in some local games we had in the conference against sides like Stevenage it started to become the norm that we would bring some stewards to cover the away end. It's a good idea as the stewards will have to work with the home crowd regularly, and they'll know who is harmless and who might need a talking to etc. to avoid any trouble. If they are seen to be stewards associated with your club then you're less likely to be aggressive towards them.

Yeah, I don't think that's particularly tinpot. We've been struck before by not being prepared enough for a larger away support and things can get out of hand. Since Stockport came on the day they went down and the match got delayed due to crowd trouble, we occasionally borrow some of West Brom's stewards for bigger attendances if they aren't playing at home.

Yeah I'd imagine that's fairly common, not just at this level either. I know some of our stewards work at Forest as well.

Burton and Derby also share stewards.

Looking forward to some highlight show Tinpottery this evening. Place your bets on whose cameraman messes up the filming.

I'm going for Alfreton.

The Alfreton people missed the whole match....probably because they were relegated last season :ffs:

Macc had to shut the London Road side of Moss Rose yesterday because they didn't have enough stewards. I know when we were in the Evo-Stik we took a few of our own stewards to every away game, but not now.

Surprisingly for them, they also had leftover food they were trying to flog over the PA for a discounted price!

I noticed on the highlight show that Aldershot mostly advertise Chelseafc.com on their hoardings.

Advertising a 'bigger' team? I don't care if they play there, is it Chelseas ground or not?

I wouldn't expect a Woking fan to understand.

Why is it Tinpot?

Shouldn't you be at Cheltenham?

Advertising another team at your own ground? It's like Hyde changing their team colours. Why not just become a feeder team?

I've got a two month old baby at home.

4700 other Wrexham fans who were at the Halifax game also haven't travelled down to Cheltenham. Are we all lesser fans or something?

Don't worry about Sparrow, I seem to recall he was very vocal this time last year as well prior to Woking playing anyone decent.

I imagine most people have heard of Chelsea (I wouldn't expect a Wrexham fan to hurhurhurhur) but it's probably as part of the deal and also in the highlights of the U21s games.

I suppose, it's only Wrexham.

I'd love it if Guiseley or Boreham Wood started doing that.

I think Sparrow is more likely to be on his/hers wavelength to be honest.
Similar mental ages.

It's a shame the moderators passed over this INSULT. Disappointing to see double standards on here. And the culprit should certainly know better by now. :lac:

And someone reminded me yesterday that the Macclesfield announcer used to shout "It's the non-league Messi......JOHN. PAUL. KISSOOOOOOOCK!!!"
The only similarity is that he's a midget.

Hard to say, but the director of the Welling versus Tranmere game yesterday deserves a mention. They were showing pictures of the Welling Chairman, talking about what he had done for the club, when his team equalised. It was fairly easy to guess what had happened, due to the noise of the crowd in the background and the change in his facial expression, fortunately they then showed us the stunning goal from every conceivable angle.
