What an awful two games. Fortunately our games begin to look a bit easier now, so lets hope we can get back to winning ways on Saturday. Won't be a good attendance after Saturday's debacle, mind.

Beaten ourselves here. Sigh. The penalty and red card is a game changer though, shit refs as standard.

A great 3-2 away win at big spending Fylde to put us back into the top 5.

Jake Kirby with a 94th minute after twice being pegged by the hosts, Kirby had also won us the penalty for our first which was converted by Baggie. The bad news being Baggie picked up another injury a few minutes later.

3 of our next 4 league games are at home to bottom half sides so now is the time to push on and try and make up some ground on early pace setters Solihull.

Result not too much of a concern, another good performance and if we take our chances that's a comfortable win.

Onto Lincoln.

Annoying to lose that as Cheltenham didn't offer a great deal (good finish for he second goal mind) look nothing more than a mid table side.

The game demonstrated the frailties in our team (set pieces and not taking our chances) and unless we address these we won't trouble the teams at the top.

Great August though. Plenty of time to sort these issues out.

All the officials are in this league, the linesman was so bad today he didn't even spot that Mangan was 10 yards offside, the referee had to give Kidderminster a free kick.

Typical Wrexham of last few years today, chance after chance, don't kill them off and be made to regret them at the end

We are woeful at defending set-pieces or anything in the air for that matter

Next week could be fun, set pieces, corners and long throws is all we can do.

A couple of great saves from their keeper and the referee missing a stonewall penalty and red card didn't help.

Didn't help no but Gray missing what was almost an open goal, York's poor touch allowing the keeper to have any chance when through 1-1 and all the other wasted chances can't be blamed on anybody but ourselves.

Our balls into Gray were poor as well. Didn't really give him a chance. We've been a bit profligate in every game this season, hidden a bit by the fact we've scored 14.

You say we were like the Wrexham of the last two seasons. I disagree completely. I don't think we played badly for the majority of the game.

I don't mean it the way of the football played I mean it in the way of missing chances and letting the our team back into the game then suffering a sucker punch

I've got a feeling we might have to get used to it this season!

Not our best performance of the season, but we improved in the 2nd half and turned a loss into a win which is nice to see. Brodie was excellent again, caused Braintree endless problems, but it was when Harris came off the bench that was the game changer. Very good finish from Harris to equalise after Brodie did well in the build up (he got the ball from the throw in before making a very good run into the box and saw Harris' run). Harris then repaid the favour by crossing for Brodie's winner.

8 points from our first 7 games may not look great but considering we have played 4 of the current top 6 (Gateshead, Cheltenham, Wrexham and Eastleigh) within that period it isnt too bad - of the other 3 games against mid/lower table sides we have picked up 7 points.

Best performance of the season from us today to make me even more convinced we're going up. I honestly think Saturday could be a blessing disguise.

Fylde were the pre season favourites and we were the better side from start to finish. Like WHM said above we've got some generous fixtures in September so time to push on. Brilliant stuff. See you guys next season

Not too down about us losing away to budget breaking Cheltenham. We still played some good stuff and bad refereeing evens itself out over the course of a season. Hopefully the team and Mills will have learnt something from that second half and comeback fighting stronger. Nice finish for their second goal.

No surprise if true, if there's one thing we know about your squad it's that despite the amount of decent individual players, there's enough ego's in there too, and when it starts to go wrong, it really will.

Yep, I'm the most negative County fan going normally, like a sulky little kid, but a sulky 20 year old instead. Barring any disasters then I'm convinced we'll go up.

What did you think of the game on Saturday mate?

To be truthful I thought you were very average. You had no other clear chances in the second half other than the two goals which were both fortunate deflections. Particulary the second one. We weren't great and faded in the second period. It was just about a fair result on the balance of play but on another day we could taken another one of our chances in the first half and got a point

I think you look a shoe in for the play-offs. Will be interesting if injuries play a part in your chances for top.
