Paire will be a good player. Still a major shock for Nishikori though, he's going to lose nearly 1200 ranking points with that defeat.

He's 26 mind you. Should have found some consistency by now.

Bouchard wins though. Hurrah! Jankovic is the first of mine to go in the dream team game.

Wow I didn't think Paire was all that, I thought he was 22/23 at the most. Yes perhaps he should've made more of his talent by now I agree.

Gills Simon out - guess who has him!

Seems to be quite a few retirements which has ruined the draw a bit.

That roof on Ashe is enormous! It could make the atmosphere inside more akin to an indoor court which would suit Federer.

Anyway Murray wins a fairly tight first set 7/5.

Kyrgios just cannot live with Murray's backhand. There is times when he just doesn't look bothered, a really strange player is the Aussie.

Quite fitting in a way Mardy Fish's career ends with an attack of the nerves losing from 2-1 and a break up.

Fancy Chardy to beat Ferrer next round?

Konta looks like claiming a big scalp in Muguruza.

Decent win.

Konta was awesome throughout. Fantastic serving and groundstrokes that would have held up against any female player. The backhand was a thing of beauty today.

Murray struggling here, currently a set down and 5/4 with and break down against Mannarino. He can't seem to hit through him.

Two sets down now, not looking good for him unfortunately.

Mannarino is playing out of his skin to be honest. Djokovic and Federer have gone 2 sets down plenty of times before. The top players manage to find a way out of the hole more often than not though. Winner of the 3rd set wins the match for me (obviously in Mannarino's case haha).

Murray has a good record from two sets down, but he doesn't look to be that inspired today, just hitting shots back and forth with nothing on them. He has got a break early in the third but he hasn't been holding his serve that great so we'll see how it goes this set.

Mannarino can't keep this up, Murray will hopefully come back and he basically broke himself to lose the first 2 sets anyway. Just needs to get his shit together and remember that he is a top player. Kyrios and then this guy, I'm not sure how on earth that has been allowed to happen in the first 2 rounds of a Slam.

In all fairness, Murray is rarely in inspired form when he's two sets down. Not unless it's against a Djokovic or Federer as he's normally powerless if they're on it. But against this standard of opponent, they're normally playing above par with Murray slightly below par before the gears change.

Ok, a wee bit back on track with 4/1 and a double break in the third, and he looks relaxed enough so lets see if he can do it. Never write him off.

Watching it on ESPN, its bloody annoying as it has a ticker running along the bottom constantly with fucking tweets! Will this narcissism ever stop!?!

I'm streaming it online and it's actually a really good picture for a change. Murray up a break in the 4th set.

Mannarino still hasn't read the memo, he's meant to fade away quietly here and not put up a fight.

Yeah me too, Sky's stream was awful, I couldn't see the ball properly during points, but I found this one and its fine.

He's levelled, two sets all now.

Do you use first row sports? Now that my internet connection is quicker i'm able to watch it online without any problems. Although sometimes the commentary is in a different language:lol:

Na time4tv, Saddleradd put me on to it. No HD streams, but most of them are consistent enough.

All over and he comes back, I wish he wouldn't do this to us all the time. I don't think the additional sets will have taken that much out of him though to be honest as it was fairly comfortable in the end.

Indeed, no other tennis player I've even seen in over thirty years of watching it, has put his supporters through the wringer so much! Anyway, through to play Bellucci.

More "shocks" (Nadal/Ferrer etc) and retirements (Goffin was in front as well) then - even Serna had a tough match for a while.

I say shocks but maybe not so?

It's not a shock that he lost but the real Nadal doesn't lose from 2 sets up, really doesn't look good for him in terms of ever winning another slam.
