Definitely a winnable tie for Fingate! I'm pretty excited for them.

FC United v Buxton stands out as a local Derby.

Then Wingate and Finchley v Weston and if Wealdstone made it through Brockenhurst v the Stones also stands out.

If we make it through I think we'd dispatch Brockenhurst quite comfortably. The problem is I have absolutely no confidence in us getting the job done tomorrow night.

Kettering Town away! Regionalised eh.

Appears to be North/South. We were the team drawn out after you (presumably), so feel very lucky to have avoided them! (Neither team will be able to cope with hosting that game right now in our current situations with grounds).

Edit: inspecting that draw, when there were 4 teams left in the hat, we were both there!:eyes:

Close shave!

Truro have Margate away if they beat Taunton. That's a bit of a trek for the third qualifying round!

Biggleswade Town 0-2 Wealdstone (Att: 264)

We won and that's all that matters. A truly woeful first half which really could have been played in shallow water, the ball was in the air that often.

2nd half we started to get the ball on the deck and after Biggleswade should have scored, we had two guilt edged chances to take the lead, a Jefferson Louis header and Scott Davies shot going inches wide.

Louis eventually broke the deadlock with a rocket of a shot from just inside the 18 yard box and Shaun Lucien scored the 2nd on a rebound having done well to get into a scoring position.

100 or so Stones supporters there left the ground happy, onto Brockenhurst and the New Forest a week on Saturday.

Gutted. Real chance to progress and we just couldn't create enough clear cut chances to take! Second half performance up there with the best I've seen in a while. Good luck to Chelmsford, hope they smash Basingstoke.

We will smash Maidstone on Saturday instead!

Worcester won 2-0.
I notice £13 to get in, is that their normal price?
would have thought so, think most North/South teams charge around £10-£13.

Yeah, most clubs at this level don't reduce prices for cup games. £13 to get in at Chelmsford on Saturday and then £11 for the replay!

The FA just make that one up as they go. Last year they made 2 teams replay a game, Kicked Droylsden and Bradford out in years gone by. And yet people wonder why everyone thinks they are a joke

Didn't Gainsborough also get kicked out the year before?

I need to make the decision whether to attend Blackfield and Langley v Maidenhead or Brockenhurst v Wealdstone on Saturday. I'll be down that way so have decided to take in some Wessex League v Conference South action. I'm favouring the Wealdstone game purely due to Aberstone being on this forum!!

And we'll get half your admission fee. *chortle*

I'm looking forward to Saturday, a new ground for me and pending a total collapse, we should win.

Absolutely farcical decision to allow a team playing an ineligible player to stay in and inconsistent with previous seasons.

Yep, and the ineligible player was on loan from us.

We, and Trinity, had all the times in which things were sent i.e. before deadlines, who it was sent to etc etc but despite nothing being wrong they still threw them out!

Barring unforeseen circumstances I will be at Brockenhurst on Saturday. Do Wealdstone get 50%, I thought the FA took 10% and the two clubs get 45% each?
On a side note I see from Brockenhurst's website they are giving out a club scarf to the first 40 kids through the turnstiles so we'll see if I'm early enough for my son to get one!

Pretty sure in the qualifying rounds at least it's 50-50. Or in original ties anyway. I know the gate splits are slightly different in replayed games from the first round proper (as opposed to the original ties at that stage).

Hednesford 2 (Obeng 12, Disney 74)-4 Alfreton (Robertson 17,28,65, Bradley 20)

Jordan Robertson is too good for this level. Fact Scored a treble today and set Bradley up for the other as we defeated Hednesford to advance into Mondays 4th Qualifying Round draw.

If there was ever a game to showcase how to not defend this was it however both sides were at sixes and sevens at the back and it could have been 5-5. Hednesford were an absolute car crash at the back in the fist half though.

Firsty the keeper and defend ran in to each other enabling Bradley to score before just 5 minutes later Parton the keeper was shown his marching orders for bringing Bradley down when clear through. This all in the opening 25 minutes!

Eight goals scored now in 2 games against Hednesford. Pity we cant play them every week!

So Please please anyone but Lincoln or Wrexham or Grimsby in the next round please. Id rather like to avoid any long trips to Barrow and Gateshead too.

Big shout out for Jemfy and AFC R+D as they record an excellent 2-0 home win against Ashton United and advance to the 4th Qualifying for the first time since reformation!

Brockenhurst 1-5 Wealdstone (Att: Estimate 700-800):

An enjoyable day out in the New Forest even if we didn't play our best. Thought we lacked tempo, desire and a lack of width down our left hand side...

Having said that the final score should have been 10-3, we had so many near misses including hitting the crossbar and missing a penalty.

Scott Davies scored from 70 yards, there's a video of the goal on YT (@StonesGoals on Twitter has it). An incredible goal from a technical standpoint and worth the £8 admission fee alone.

Really enjoyed the set up at Brockenhurst and hope the revenue can push them on further.

Brockenhurst 1-5 Wealdstone.
Scoreline flattered Wealdstone but a great game. Brockenhurst played some good football, as good as anything I've seen from a step 9 side. However I think Wealdstone gave them far too much respect, or thought they could turn up and win. From the first 30 seconds it was clear Wealdstone could pass it around with ease and create chances. For some reason after this they took it quite easy and needless lumped it forward on many occasions. If they had played with more intensity they really could have had 10+ goals.
First looked a fluke - I was down the other end - Jefferson Louis sort of flicked it on and it looped over a static keeper. Only thing the keeper did wrong all match btw - he was superb, made some wonder saves.
Brockenhurst looked good going forward though, especially the number 9, who I think scored - great hit which took a nick off a defenders back and ended up in the top corner.
2nd half was much more even than the scoreline suggests, Wealdstone got a scrappy 2nd from a corner that wasn't properly cleared and a comical own goal for the 3rd. Brockenhurst had chances at 2-1 and 3-1 down though, threw everything at it and got caught twice in the final minute. Wealdstone missed a penalty - which I was right behind and was a good decision - that's 4 pens I've seen given in games this season, they have all been missed!!
4th, don't know how far out it actually was but looked close to the halfway line, keeper off his line, straight in, always nice to see goals like that. 5th, was, for me, the only thing the ref got wrong - blatant handball by the Wealdstone player as it came into him, he looked embarrassed to score, even after it went in he was looking about for someone to rule it out!
A word for the ref - very good, far too good for step 6 and 9 teams - let the game flow when he could, don't think he got a decision wrong apart from the handball.

Atmosphere was good, Wealdstone brought great numbers, my son and myself met some great people including the goalkeeper of the 1985 Wealdstone double winning side and the wife of Wealdstone's president who I spent most of the 2nd half chatting to. I'll certainly be coming to a Wealdstone home game in the near future, and join the quest to get them playing back someone near to where they used to, or at least in the borough of Harrow.
Also when all the local youth of a village in the New Forest are queuing up for a selfie with a certain Wealdstone fan you know just how famous he is!

Defence was strong, but Asante and Moore weren't great. Worcester look a much better team than they were in August. It will be a tough game at Aggborough on Tuesday night.
At least we are in the hat for the next round :ds:

Who want some then?!? We'll give it ya...

Seriously very pleased, We've now played teams from step 6,5,4,3 and won all games in a single fixture too. Realistically whoever we face is going to be difficult, but if we could just make that first round proper...
