Gladwin is going back to Swindon. He has barely played, and with Sandro and Fer back and playing, it leaves very little space for him to get in. I would have liked him to go to someone in this league, but at least he will be playing again to get his fitness back. He will be needed, as our team is just made of glass. Only a matter of time before Faurlin does his ACL for a 4th time.

Gladwin seemed a weird signing in the first place, didn't look anywhere near ready for this level whenever i've seen him.

Our central defender Jake Copper signed a 3 year contract extension.

Ive not seen him play enough to comment. I thought he made team of the year last year, though I could be mistaken.

A key player for us in our first season (11/12) up in the Prem when we comfortably survived - will never forget his screamer to win at White Hart Lane. Haven't seen much of him since. 12/13 Hughton came in, limited his playing time by pretty much only bringing him on for the last five minutes of games (he may have picked up an early injury that season). He missed almost the whole of 13/14 (started our first game and played 15 minutes of our last game) through injury. He maybe started 2 or 3 games for us last season.

I like him, he's out of favour/form here but a change of scenery might do some good. Hopefully some regular game time will see him return to his pre-injury levels.

Did well a couple years back but apparently he's been awful for Reading.

Will give him a chance ovcourse, though.

Means we will have to score at least 2 to win next Friday then.

At the risk of looking stupid when he scores a hat trick.... Cox is turd. He is a good footballer but he is neither here nor there. He links up play well but can't finish (on the rare occasion he is onside) and doesn't really offer anything. Scored 3 absolute screamers for us when he first started. And I mean screamers, possibly the 3 best goals we've scored in living memory.

If he can hold the ball up and link up play he will do for me. Jonathan Kodjia needs that type of player and hee is looking very good already.

Was going to say just leave the finishing to Kodjia then and everything's fine

Not particularly overwhelmed with either, but at least Bennett gives us the opportunity to play with wingers. Both players capable of scoring a wonder goal as well.

Bennett was one of my favourite ever Albion players in his first spell. Didn't look anywhere near as effective for us last season but was playing in an awful team void of confidence and he was coming back from a long time out with injury.

Get him on corners/long free kicks if his delivery is still anywhere near as good as I remember it. Assisted something like 20+ in the season we went up from L1. Is capable of scoring plenty of screamers if you let him drift centrally, too.

Yep, as much as I like Cox as he's Reading through and through, he's really gone downhill in the last 6 months or so. Last season he turned up to training a few pounds overweight and was told by Clarke to go back home. He's not got a sniff since.

Didn't help that we hired the manager who got rid of him at West Brom.

On his day Cox is great, but they seem to happen rarely. He links up really well with a tall target figure (we had Glenn Murray at the start of last season) and he really looked good - finished our joint top scorer last season, with 8....

But he hasn't scored since last December I think and has just been getting worse and worse, missing sitters.

Second time in his career we've loaned him to a club to our West to try and shift him. Didn't do too badly for Swindon last time.

It certainly appears that Cox isn't the 'Wilbs' type player we all wanted to see. He can't drop Kodjia, surely?

Yeah I was only joking really mate, although with how this seasons gone I wouldn't be surprised

I guessed you were bud but when Madjeski said he needs a big target man, it ceased to be funny any more. :(
Kodjia and Cox? Can't do any worse than poor old Wilbs.

I'd assume so. Although whether Cox will even offer more than Agard is questionable, and I'm not Agards biggest fan.

We want Hooper but we are in competition with Sheff Wed for him, according to the sun. Reliable source.

We are signing Liam Trotter from Bolton for some reason. Is he a defensive midfielder? Now Mancienne and Ebecilio are fucked we need someone to sit in front of our defence, as Vaughan isn't reliable enough.

I always thought he was more attacking, used to score a lot for Millwall.

Started out as a fairly defensive midfielder, more of a box to boxer these days I think.

Looks like we're keeping Paddy McCarthy, Palace are paying his wages while he is injured. Should be back next month.

So far out of the 6 loan signings we've made, only Pickford has looked a big step up from what we've already got, although I think Reach & Doyle will turn out good.
