I think that Mourinho has almost lost the dressing room if it has not happend already, and it all started when he humiliated the club doctor, and what he did to Matic and his full time rant has probably sealed his fate as the Chelsea manager, so unless he can get the players back on side which I am not sure that he can, I don't think he will be the Chelsea manager for much longer. And if Liverpool are smart then they should get Klopp asap, because if they dither and Chelsea sack Mourinho then I doubt Klopp would go there a head of Chelsea IMO.

To me it looks like he runs clubs into the ground. He has a way of doing things that will take your racehorse to the top for a season or two, but then it will be dead by the 3rd or 4th. Dangerous to keep the likes of him around. He is not the type of manager who you can build your club around, but he's good for a fast turnaround if you can buy the very best players in the world.

The charge he's been slapped with is well deserved. His comments after the game on Saturday were fucking comical given some of the decisions that went against Southampton. I understand managers sometimes talk shit post-match to take attention off under-performing teams, but it can be taken too far and end up looking like some really pathetic persecution complex.

I think he started with his deflecting early on in the run of bad results but as things continued, I actually question whether he genuinely believes the shit he says.

To be fair everyone did that with Ferguson.

Did Jose Mourinho ever have a plot? I see him more as a one time viewing of Lost in Translation. Or like Cormac McCarthy's The Road - it's lauded, but does it leave a lasting satisfaction or is it just temporary pretension about his polarizing prose? I.e. a false bubble of plaudits because everyone was too afraid to label it boring and no one sits around reading it every fall.

True indeed, I do think however the whole three-year-till-shit-falls-apart is getting to Mou. It's come to a point you can't ignore it anymore

Did he and the squad get complacent after the success of last season as they didn't really add anyone to the squad did they?

Pedro came later and Falcao is very much a back up.

This^^

Was really surprised they didn't buy anyone. The club needed a fresh injection of motivation but they just ignored it for whatever reason.

Ferguson was an expert at handling transition, Jose doesn't even seem like he fancies it to be honest. It's like he's bored and wants out.

Btw how did Falcao play vs Southampton? I'm still absolutely mystified as to why they signed him, but he can't be playing as badly as he was last season, surely.

Doubt it. Klopp won't get the time to build there.

Worked very hard but barely got a sniff at goal. Hard to judge him when the players around him play so poorly.

I don't like his hair either.

I hope he has lost the plot, but the best managers turn things around so this is a real test for him, he never seems to manage more than a couple years, does brilliant in those years but maybe his power is waning and since he's been around the continent everyone's found him out. He's only won the league once with Real and Chelsea, and still chasing that elusive third champions league, looks like he needs to adapt with the times, only then will he last and be recognised as a great manager he thinks he is

Spot on. The year before they did their business early and it paid dividends.

I wonder if something has gone on behind the scenes between the manager and the owners which is why his behaviour has been more erratic than normal. Maybe he wasn't allowed to bring in certain players and he's spat his dummy out?

Now that Klopp is confirmed for us, I hope things go from bad to worse for Chelsea and Mourinho. He's a fantastic manager, but even he won't survive unless there are big improvements in the next 5-10 games.

Incredible ain't it....didn't Klopp nearly send Dortmund down 2 years ago?

He's a good manager who won 2 league titles in 7 years in a league which has only 2 competitive title challengers.

Don't worry mocky-micky, I'm sure things will pick up again soon and you can go back to thinking Mourinho's shit smells like perfume.

And, if by 'nearly sending Dortmund down' you mean finishing at worst 7th out of 18 teams in his entire time there, then yes.

The FA need to come up with some new punishments....giving anyone working at Chelsea or any top level club a fine is entirely pointless.

That said...they're doing a mighty fine job of covering up that fucking abysmal performance by the King of fucking dunces Mike Dean.

If Chelsea keep playing as poorly as they are at the moment I reckon Jose will come out and criticise the referees once more ahead of a big game and take the suspended stadium ban. Ready made excuse for a loss. Dat Machiavellian sumbitch.

Until now, I don't think I have ever really prayed for a Villa win.
But only by a one-goal margin with that winning goal coming in the 23rd minute of added time from someone diving in the penalty area, resulting in two Chelsea players being sent off unfairly. And after Chelsea were denied three blatant penalty decisions during the first half. With one so obvious that Villa build a patio over one part of the box, and the Met declare the penalty area a crime scene and feature it on Crimewatch.

I think Mourinho's issue is that his generals/in crew whatever you want to call them are either gone or in the case of Terry not as good and he is struggling to impose himself and hence has lost the dressing room somewhat.

I do fancy Chelsea to beat Villa though, we are a great team to play when you are out of form! Wouldnt be surprised if we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory again either!

The 3 year theory about Mourhino is interesting: that within 3 years or earlier, everybody involved with him or in his vicinity is exhausted by the needless drama. Trophies galore, but a very quick burn-out.
