Lancaster is a good coach and a nice bloke so it's a bit grim to see him getting pelters. I reckon the abroad policy is made well above his head. Politics.

Disapppointed that England are out but I feel the damage was done last week. Australia looked in control and just better than England. Just hope France finish above Ireland now and make a good World Cup. I can't see the trophy evading the southern hemisphere though.

It could be New Zealand.

NZ should have it. Australia have a soft under belly and SA have struggled to beat NZ in the past couple of years. They've won the odd game but NZ have essentially dominated.

Think Wales will lose to the Aussies.

Ireland v France is they key game this weekend - loser has to face the Kiwis - but then the French do give NZ a good game in the World Cup!

Lewandowski did the business on you where it matters though - unless you suddenly prefer rugby for some strange reason!?

Ridiculously good defending from Australia here with just 13 men. Wales really HAVE to score.

Not normally a rugby fan but that was the most enjoying 20 minutes of rugby I've seen from a neutral view.

What a missed opportunity that was, simply had to score when Aus were down to 13. They will annihilate Scotland.

You guys were laughing at us and at least we never went down meekly. Shoe is on the other foot and it's great - well at least till we get pummelled in the quarters! :D

If the shoe on that foot is a rugby boot then I'm not too bothered mate - come back when we get pissed on in the Euros and then I'll bite!

Genuinely have no idea why you'd laugh at England when Scotland's team is so massively inferior. It's a bit like Notts County making it to the FA Cup 4th round and me going around taunting Man Utd fans because they'd lost in Round 3.

Oh weren't you going to win the Rugby World Cup pretournament? Supposedly it was nailed on with it being at home and all yet they failed miserably. I know Scotland isn't any great shakes at the rugby either but we did the job in getting out of the group stage at least.

Superb win for Ireland against France to get the probably easier route in the knockout stages. Massive blow to lose three of their best players to injury though.

Also means we get France v NZ which is always a treat.

Good game and I'm very much glad that Ireland got some points on the scoreboard which proves the difference between the two sides. The greens were much better than us and I would like them to go far. Having Parra from kick-off would have helped in getting past their strong line.
Guess we're gonna have to beat NZ again then. Then lose to some shit like South Africa. Such is life.

Shame they suffered a few injuries to sour a good performance.

So South Africa vs Wales and NZ vs France on Saturday, then Ireland vs Argentina and Australia vs Scotland on Sunday. I would love to say we'll beat South Africa but we'll need to play very well to do so. NZ vs France is a game where both teams haven't exactly played well yet. Ireland should have too much for Argentina even with the injuries, and the Aussies will have too much for Scotland.

I have tickets available for all 4 quarter finals matches if anyone is interested.

My friend owns a sports tour company out here and is an official reseller but unfortunately due to England going out early, has a lot of tickets left.

200 quid each ticket, and can post the tickets to you. Face value of each ticket is 150 quid but as you may know, resellers are charged a fee, especially if they are abroad.

PM me if you're interested and I'll give you more details including specific seats.

£200 a ticket? I should hope that is in a fancy suite for that price, especially the games at the Millenium Stadium.

This is superb from Wales. I get the feeling SA will still snatch it though.

Gutted for Wales however I just knew we'd concede penalties galore with Wayne Barnes in charge, nothing ever changes when he's in charge of a Wales game. However with so many injuries making the quarters was a big plus for the group of lads involved. A potential South Africa vs NZ semi final is going to fun. Over to the Irish and France to keep the hopes of our Hemisphere alive.
