Hi Aber - long time no speak. Admit it, you just wanted to avoid us :)

Part of me did chuckle when I noticed you'd been drawn away at Boreham Wood, probably the two teams I wanted us to avoid most.

This is probably our best chance to get to the first round, I hope Northwich vic win against Marine, but the only thing about that is that they ground share with witton and witton are at home that weekend so we would have to play Friday or Sunday

Actually the FA Cup games take precedence over all league games no matter who the senior club in the ground share is.

It's then about if both clubs agree to play a different date to be respectful to the hosts or not. If there is no agreement it's Saturday, 3pm and Witton have to lump it.

I'm not sure on precedence, but if we have had a game at home on a Saturday, then any Gloucester game, regardless of competition, has been moved to the Sunday to facilitate it.

It's FA rules it turns out, that the FA Cup needs to take precedence over all league games. Inter-sports gets a bit complicated as the FA don't have a say there. The order is cup>trophy>vase>league. Local FA competitions go above league for those below step 4 as the clubs are ruled over directly by their local FA and step 4 and above (our level) league takes over as all clubs come under the full FA. Yes that does mean you have clubs in the same league ruled over by different FA's.

Senior club in the FA Cup at home would still take precedence over junior club. Higher division club has to take precedence over lower, and in the same division then it's up to the clubs to decide who is senior and junior.

Gloucester can ask their opposition to play on an alternate date, and it might be in your ground agreement that they do so, but if the other club refuse (as is their right) you've got to deal with it.

Aldershot away. Not the worst draw, although it's a side we've played plenty of times in the past. Tough, but not beyond us to get a win or draw there.

At least we'll be playing a team that isn't Hemel bloody Hempstead!

Does anyone know if Maidenhead segregate or not? I suspect they don't, which is far from ideal as I won't be able to comment on Woking's away following

So for our game against Stourbridge there are 300 tickets available to away fans. We have estimated 650 season ticket holders. How is that even going to work?

If that is the case then there will be a lot of hacked off Kiddy fans. A quick check of Wikipedia, not always to be relied upon, suggests that the Stourbridge ground holds around 3,000. Isn't there a ruling in the cup that you have to give the away team 10% of capacity, in which case 300 would be right even if it isn't anywhere near enough to satisfy demand. Football fans are pretty resourceful so I would expect most who want to see the game will be able to do so.

Apparently it's 15% and their capacity is really 2000 but they can put up temporary stands. But still Stourbridge won't bring 1700 not close really. So it doesn't make sense only giving us 300 when they won't sell out their allocation.

Yeah. We're going to start selling ours on Friday apparently. I suspect they'll be gone before I get a chance to get mine. According to Stourbridge's website, their office will be open on Sunday for season ticket holders only and Monday evening for people who attend their game against Ilkeston. I'll be amazed if the combined number of season ticket holders and non-holders who go to the Ilkeston game is 1700...

How many Kiddy fans will be at the game mentioned above if it means they can guarantee themselves a ticket?

2-2 at Bamber Bridge now. Could go to extra time!

Sporting Khalsa won their replay at Spalding, and make it through to the 4th qualifying round. Quite an achievement.

Kettering losing 3-2 at Bamber Bridge, FT imminent.

Dreadful ground that, Stourbridge, three sided on a cricket pitch.

We went there in the trophy a few years ago, took about 500 but fortunately they had a good FA Cup run at the same time beating Plymouth so in all the euphoria had put some temporary stands on the other side which allowed us to take a few more than I guess we'd normally have been allowed.

Segregation must only be a token gesture at Stourbridge anyway. Doesn't everyone have to go through the same thin brick entrance and walk along the same side of a cricket pitch to get there?

Us and Tranmere have agreed sensible pricing at £10/£5/£1.

Cracking game at Brig last night. Brett Ormerod still has the poachers knack of being in the right place at the right time, bagged twice last night. Brackley away in the 4QR, won't be easy against a Step 2 side but there's always a chance. Chorley should do it against Northwich really, they'll be disappointed not to.

Just hope one of them gets through and gets a certain L1 club :D

Should be a good game, especially as you've got a couple of ex-Shots in your rank. Our home form has been awful this season and we seem to have a shocking record against teams in the division(s) below us, so anything could happen. How many do you reckon will make the trip?

Tough for you guys.

It's winnable, but any game for us is tough. Nice that either way one club makes the first round for the first time in their history. Really hope it will be us!

I go and watch Barwell now and again when I can't get to Notts, they're not a bad side at all, particularly at home.

Would be nice for them to make it through for the first time ever, I saw their game with Altrincham at this stage last season and they were a bit unfortunate to lose comfortably in the end.

Not great for our fans that, be a very early start for those travelling.

But a lot better for those who wanted to see the game but couldn't afford the cost, in time or money, to trek half way to Belgium to watch us play. Thank goodness for BT sport.
