So then a chance for the Gills to bounce back after being blown away by Coventry on Saturday. They score plenty of goals at home so this represents a good chance to get back on track. Rochdale will be no pushovers though, constantly a threat under Keith Hill and always a team to keep an eye for a sudden push towards the play-offs.

All match discussion here please.

Expecting a tough game, but hopefully we'll get a decent response after Saturday's game

Many fans travelling from Dale?

Highly doubt it. The FL are a bit of joke putting this on a Tuesday night. A little common sense wouldn't go a miss. Simply by switching the Doncaster and Gills games a lot more fans would have gone to both games I reckon. 100 there for such a journey will be a miracle.

We've already had Scunny and Fleetwood down here on tuesdays, so it's not even a one-off. Fair play to any Dale that make it.

We absolutely HAVE to see a response to saturday. In some ways I wouldn't be upset with a 0-0, unlikely though that is. Dale are a good side so we need to get in their faces and press from the off, so I'd start with something along the lines of:

Nelson
Jackson - Egan - Oshilaja - Garmston
Wright
Hess - Houghton
Dack
Samuel - Donnelly

G.Morris, Ehmer, A.Morris, Dickenson, Loft, McDonald and Osadebe on the bench.

2-1 Gills, another late winner.

I'll have a guess and say we will probably have the same starting XI as Saturday.

Btw 0-0 is our most common scoreline this season... Hope it's not a boring 0-0 but a draw here would be a handy result.

2-0 seems very harsh? From all the commentaries etc.

We sound bang average from the commentary so a 2-0 win is nice, especially after our ten minute weekend horrorshow. On to Shrewsbury.

We sounded average but never really threatened by Rochdale. Really pleased with the result considering what happened on Saturday.

It wasnt harsh, 2-0 was about right for the first half alone. Dale had 10/15 mins after half time when they made a couple of subs and got a bit more possession but rarely threatened. Says a lot when the biggest threat was Calvin Andrew. Dack was immense again, the goal was a wonderful team move. Only a decent save prevented the goal of the season second half, when 3 gills players played keepy up around the Dale defence ending with a 25 yard Dack volley kept out of the top corner. Good to get back to winning ways.

Very easy win. Do Rochdale not have scouts? Teams have been making it hard for us at home by pinning our full backs back. Rochdale gave them so much room.

All Hill talked about after was the ref. Never a foul for either goal. Should have been answering questions about his tactics and why he picked that shocking keeper against the best team from set plays in the league.

Appreciate I wasn't there but we had double the amount of shots you had so can't really see how 2-0 isn't harsh. Andrew is what he is, he's improved a hell of a lot since joining us. On our budget players of his ilk are all we can really dream of having.

You had 2 chances so probably least creative team we have played.

So if you scored both you would have pinched a draw. Andrew held the ball well but does not get in the box.

We won without having to play that well.

If you're going off BBC stats then I should point out that the report says you hit the bar at some point, but I'm buggered if I can remember that happening!

Great to have a game so early after Saturday to give us a chance to bounce back and not let anyone dwell on what happened. If that strike from Dack had gone in it would have been one of the goals of the season, great bit of play between the three of them. The through ball from Samuel was absolutely sensational too; took it first time on the volley and cushioned it perfectly into Dack's path. I've seen Keith Hill claiming both goals should have been disallowed - for me the first one looks shoulder to shoulder and the second I cannot see where there is a foul at all, if he's claiming a foul on the keeper he wants shooting.

Just remember Keith Hill is the man who suggested he thought of instructing enough of his players to get sent off last season to abandon the game. He's always been a sore loser, so you can't take him too seriously.

Seen a few highlights packages. First goal maybe shouldn't have happened due to the foul, hard to tell for sure though. Second goal was fine for me, no foul. I still stand by the fact it seems a harsh result at 2-0. Other than the two goals scored the other chance you had was the Dack shot which drew a very good save. Nelson seemed the busier keeper on the highlights too.

Keith Hill is a great manager but comes across as an arsehole. His gestures to the home support during our play-off games showed me the mark of the man.

What gestures were those then?

Wanker signs and gesturing to come and have a pop as he walked down the touchline before the second half

I doubt that highly. Notice no fuss was made of this 'incident' at the time so why am I hearing about it now 6 years on?

You can doubt it all you want, but it happened.

Anyway, not sure what that incident really has to do with tuesdays game anyway, apart from providing more evidence of Hill's twattery. I remember in the last game of the season when we went to Dale before the inevitable play-off return a few days later, Hill brought David Flitcroft off the bench with the sole intention of trying to injure our players. It didn't really work though, as he was far too fat to catch any of ours!

Because as Joe rightly says, it just more evidence of his twattery.

As to your doubts that it happened, it occurred right in front of me at a distance of no more than 30 feet. Nothing was made of it at the time principally because most Gills fans aren't whiny little piss-ants that make official complaints about some Northern gobshite.

Believe what you will, I witnessed his behaviour as did others and have no reason to fabricate such a story.

All I'm saying is if this did happen why did I not hear about it back then? Even if you weren't moaning about the incident I'm sure it would have been mentioned somewhere, and I never saw/heard anything said about anything like this. That Flitcroft one is a joke too surely? We played a weakened side in preparation for the two playoff games, injuring someone would never be the remit of Hill.
