You view was merely a test for this q thing. Hold out on the 2tb, it'll be old technology within 6 months.

I've had the 2TB for nearly 12 months, I went back to Sky in December last year after a painful 12 months using Youview on BT. If BT come up with something better I'll look into it, especially if it comes with a good deal, but as long as they're using Youview for delivery I won't be going back.

Fringe fans that become experts when the time suits them. They're mainly heard when a boxing match with public interest is close, or at UFC events. It's usually a combat sport. The kind of people that shout to be heard, telling you why a fighter is losing and what he should be doing.

I work with a few of these. I've been watching boxing for 25 years, and although I wouldn't claim to be an expert, I'm confident I know my stuff.

This week I've had people who have probably watched two or three boxing fights in their lives tell me why Tyson Fury is going to lose on Saturday.

I agree with their prediction, but the way they tell me is hugely irritating.

There's that extra level of cocksuredness that appears when a fight comes about. An extra level of machismo to reassure the other blokes that you're indeed another bloke.

Well I hope you think of your pal Christian if you're watching the Fury fight this weekend.
I just hope Wlad destroys the stupid c*** :D

I watch boxing most fight nights tbf, so I probably know a little more than the sort of person you're describing but I definitely act like I know more than I do when I talk about it to other people

Even worse when they tell you that they think Fury will win.

Surely it's better for the sport if he wins. Then they have a champion that will divide opinion and create interest.

Or I suppose we could just stick with the better fighter being top of the sport. Pah! Wrestling got this shit right!

Fury will win.

I dislike tools that ridicule the underdog and are very vocal about backing the clear favourite.

He's being ridiculed because he's an absolute fucktard, not because he's a bad fighter. He'll still lose, but I imagine it'll go the distance.

A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
Another South West Trains post.Although I guess it's technically up to Network Rail.
Engineering works all weekend means I have to drive to Dean Court tomorrow, sit in endless traffic, and watch Bournemouth lose likely conceding several goals, totally sober. Boooo.

You evidently haven't taken the time to listen to him in a normal setting. He's of above average intelligence and is able to debate topics with elequence and persuasion. His outlandish remarks are devised so plebs watch his fights even though they want him to lose. (I guess you'll be tuning in Saturday night, moderator pleb)

The boy is about to record huge numbers, indeed, this is set to be Sky's 4th biggest PPV event. For a fucktard he ain't done half bad.

His public facing image is that of a prat. I do not doubt that it is at least partially a gimmick; an exercise in the kind of exaggeration, fabulism (fabulation?), and self-pseudo-mythologising of the variety that many one-man-brand, box office dependent individuals necessarily partake in. And obviously he will pocket more in an hour than I will in my entire life. But a man of intellect, charisma, elequence [sic] and so on ought to be able to craft a public facing image that is not that of a prat. Many do. So let's not act like he is Gore Vidal with a six pack. Or some lamentably misunderstood warrior-poet-cum-auto-satirist upon whom future generations (or contemporary aficionados) ought to spew overdue adoration. "I am Tito Ortiz without the resume" or "I am a gypsy Skip Bayless plus boxing gloves" is not a Twitter bio to be proud of. It is to boast of being a winner of the 250cc race to the bottom. It is to become a symptom of a civilisation that fetes Steve Jobs with messianic forelock.

Additionally, parenthetically, and tentatively, I am not sure that doing Sky's 4th biggest PPV numbers is all that much to boast about either.

I think Fury is bipolar or has some similar mood-affecting problem. Even when he's chill in a normal conversation he seems to swing around the place unpredictably (not physically like). One moment he seems quite honest and self-depreciating, then next he's 'da best evyw8 of all tyms' and similar things. I don't mind the guy, but he's not someone you could really get on with in a real life setting. I do really hope he wins tonight as it would definitely be good for a weight class that's been the boxing equivalent of Nytol for the last 10-15 years - but more likely he gets exposed.

Not a chance am I paying to watch it. Might try and find a stream or a pub showing it though.

I am furious that the government has decided to cancel away fans for our trip to Angers on Tuesday. Of course the game is sold out now! Absolutely livid.
