I had some vegan brownies on Tuesday and they were absolutely delicious. That said, I wouldn't drink vegan wine - not because of any objection to the practice of veganism, you understand, but because I don't partake of any kind of alcohol (being, as I am, a non-drinker).

Leaving Leeds a day early. I haven't told the wife so I hope the milkman has left before I get home.

Picking up a Nintendo 3DS XL for only £52 from Tesco Direct for my son's Christmas present, after doubling up £24 worth of club card points.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Quite liking the pisstaking of the Aldi advert.

Not quite as good as the Muppets Warburton's one, but good nonetheless.

My new Nexus 6P. Best phone I've ever owned

Had a play around with one of those last weekend. Very nice, but I have still yet to see a phone that blows me away enough to make me upgrade my two year old Note 3, partly because I've gotten so used to the advantages the SPen offers (going back to just fingers would feel restricted), but mostly because I don't need the additional features. Screen resolution above 1080p on a phone is a waste, the difference is negligible and barely noticeable, the quality of the panel matters far more. I mean, 4K on a phone? Give me a break. This current resolution war reminds me of the camera megapixel bollocks of ten years ago. I'm running CM13 (Android 6) and it still does everything I need it to without breaking sweat. The only thing I'd really like from the new generation of phones is the cameras, in particularly the speed as this one can be painfully slow. But it's something I can live with for the time being.

I wouldn't be surprised to have this thing until it stops working, forcing an upgrade.

The fingerprint scanner to unlock works very well (Huawei are very good at it) and is in a well thought out position. I know it sounds a small thing, but you can take your phone from your pocket and have it unlocked in one movement, and it's ready to use as soon as you bring it to your face. It's pretty nice. The 'pure' Google ROM means you can customize to your hearts content without having to install custom ROMS (things like Window animation scale, and Animator duration scale can be changed on the fly - although a fastboot flash root is still needed to get things like Adaway and Viper working). It's very, very snappy, has a gorgeous screen. I already love it so much more than the LG G3 I have moved from. Not to mention the fact for some reason I have a much stronger 4G signal everywhere with this phone for some reason, I'm hardly leaving it alone
