If he can get back to his form at Kiddy/early stages of playing for us then he'll be an asset.

His form was never great with us it just happened to be when we played you. I think you can admit he was never worth 70K though.

Tranmere have recalled Jake Kirby, he was due to go back after Saturday but if we don't get him back in Jan that will be a big loss as he's probably been our best player while he's been here.

Jon Margetts has signed on loan from Tranmere, finally a striker! As well as a keeper from Fleetwood, Arestidou

Great signing for Tranmere one of the best RB's in the conference when he was with us

Wow we've signed a right back, forgotten what one of them looks like, not had one all season ( could say the same about the manager). Never heard of Lee Vaughan before, don't know anything about him.

Hearn to Barrow is incredibly bizarre.

I heard we're signing Amond and Bogle on loan next.

Blissett isn't a Hearn replacement. The former was signing before Hearn even had a chat with CM. Our Hearn replacement is no-one because it's all happened in less than 24 hours. If we knew Hearn was leaving, we'd have extended Wootton's loan as well, which we haven't done.

Kick in the nads, mind, r.e. Hearn.

Having been offered what was basically a 6 month pay as you play deal at Mansfield, we took a gamble on him, albeit a low wage one, giving him the security of a year and an appearance clause. We're the first Club in 3 years to get him playing games, the medical/physio guys have spent ages and ages with him, we've allowed him additional recovery days away from the squad to ensure he doesn't break down and then he goes and does this, with a ridiculous comment about wanting more game time.

Out of our 25 or so games this season, he's missed 4 or 5 through injury and out of the remaining games he's started 10/11 I bet coming on as sub in most of the others (bearing in mind he was working his way back from injury for 2 or 3 of them). EDIT - I've just checked, and he's made 19 appearances, so those 6 or so will have been when he had his hamstring injury.

Then again, what did he do at Grimsby? Give some bullshit story only to end up at Mansfield. Left Mansfield under a bit of a cloud to come here and now he's pissed off from here, too.

No offence to Barrow, but Lincoln to Barrow? Really? A Club local to you, to one that trains in Manchester and playing in the middle of no-where?

I think he knows he can get a few more £ at Barrow next season or even from January under Cox.

EDIT - From those at the game last night, he was apparently terrible beyond belief so he obviously waited until after the game and had something lined up.

If that's true then it's an insult. We've given him as much game time as possible without him breaking down again.

Rhead and Blissett up front could be.....interesting.

Oh, and he can't play against us or the FA Trophy, so that's 180 minutes of game time he's got no chance of getting in the 5 weeks. Not thought that one through, has he?

We have managed to off load Lee Vaughan to Tranmere on loan until January. It's fair to say he divides opinion with some fans liking him for his effort and many others questioning if he has the necessary ability. He was third choice here this season and was nowhere near getting in our team despite being one of the higher earners so hopefully this frees up budget for new faces in January if we can convince Tranmere to sign him permanently.

Chester were also interested but could not afford his wages.

Used to think Liam was a nice lad but his track record suggests otherwise, think he's a bit of a shit-stirrer. Talking bullshit when he left us about maybe coming back and then a week later, signs for Mansfield. Also, made comments that he had more of an idea about how best to recover from his injury at Mansfield, suggesting our physio was no good, only to them get injured until Christmas at the start of the next season. Very strange situation.

Pretty pissed off with Hearn to be honest. He was getting plenty of game time here and we were managing his fitness well. He's just started three games in a week so it's not like he isn't getting games, but he was hauled off after 60 minutes last night because he had a shite game and contributed fuck all.

Moyses should have turned down his request and ordered him to get on with it.

Is it conducive to long-term success, having random guys from Crawley, Barnet and Luton rock up for a month or two? All this short-termism is what gets GTFC to the play-offs only to fall at the final hurdle year after year.

Fairly basic logic I'm using there but you get my point.

Can't say Lee Vaughan is a name I'm familiar with, but a genuine right-back will be a novelty.

Disappointed that Margetts hasn't been given more of a chance by Brabin, think he'll do well for Stockport. Kirby deserves a chance to see it he can cut it at this level. My preference would be to keep both and terminate the ineffective Tomlinson's loan spell early.

Marlon Jackson also released. No great loss, but one of the few in our squad capable of out-pacing a snail.

Can't help feeling there's an element of panic in all this.

I think he's going to regret this moment of petulance to be honest. Let's face it, bar a ludicrous offer, we aren't going to sell, and if Blissett does well then he's going to get even less game time.

Not to mention the fact he's gone from a play-off chasing side to a very, very mid-table one.

It's undoubtedly about the money. With Cook and now Rigg up front as well, I can't see all three playing - possibly preparing for a Cook bid in January? It's goals we're lacking though, and between the three of them, it's as good a strike force that I've seen here.
We're going to regret not getting a midfielder and a defender in though.
Meppen-Walter released by Carlisle could be a real possibility.

That is a proper stab in the back for Lincoln, they were the only team prepared to take a chance on him and give him a 2 year contract with his appalling injury record, and he shits on them big time.
I have lost a lot of respect for him after this, what an arse.

Perplexed by Hearns move. Got to be for the £££. A move from a local club to one in the middle of nowhere?

You watch give it a few weeks he will get pissed at the comute to Barrow and then wont be able to get back in the Lincoln side.

Exactly the same as the majority of clubs at this level then really.

Only gave him a one year deal with an option on a second IF he keeps fit. Think our manager's patience has finally snapped with him. Have he's been causing problems for a bit, not turning up for training etc.

He's quite an attacking right back who does come with a temper so expect a red card from him. But still he knows the division very well and is a physical in battles.

I'm a fan of Vaughan. He is guaranteed a red card at some point, but gets stuck in, gets forward, is okay on the ball and has a decent shot on him. Fairly sure he was in the Conference team of the year the year we finished second.

Lee Vaughan was part of our relegation team and sadly has been tarred with a tag of being one of those to take us down so isn't very good. His passion, workrate, heart, etc... are undeniable. His confidence is shot though. I have no doubt he's a better player than we witnessed last season, and he's been quite decent when coming off the bench this season.

Johnson has been trying to get rid of him since May as the last regular player from our squad last season and he's now finally managed to do it.

Not remotely inspired by signing Cheltenhams 3rd choice right back, not going to get us the 66% win record we need to make the playoffs and what's the point of spending money to solidify 10th spot.

Vaughan was really good at Kiddie. Not sure what Cheltenham have done to him really.
