Russia 2018 'arranged before the vote'.

Quelle surprise.

then scrap it if true.

is many a country in Europe could host a world cup without planning..England, France and Germany to name a couple.

FIFA will be even more shit scared of upsetting Russia and Putin than they would Quatar. Neither tournament will be cancelled, despite evidence likely to be found that they should be.

why we don't just decide to not take part.

missing a world cup is hardly going to do much anyway and I could see some others following suit.

If there is one good thing about Blatters mouth today its given anyone associated with the England bid reason to sue Fifa today for any money lost on a World Cup Bid that in his own words was agreed to go elsewhere years beforehand.

Not even just Europe, Australia or the US could do it easily. Plenty of places worldwide with the infrastructure which would require tiny changes (changes to pitches etc.). You're right about a boycott too, but unfortunately it would take a number of nations to do it for the effect and I'm not sure they've got the balls.

Blatter and Platini are both c***. Having a pop at us and the Yanks for being bad losers because it's bought all this out. What a shame

Blatter would seemingly rather take himself further down in the mire, for the sake of bringing Platini down with him. Seems to be a lot of niggle between them.

Let 'em both rot I say.

Sepp Blatter has revealed that in a recent health scare he was "close to dying" during a six day spell in hospital with a reported stress related ailment.

In his statement, Blatter appears to offer sensational confirmation of the existence of heaven and hell.

"I was between the angels who were singing and the devil who was lighting the fire, but it was the angels who sang," said Blatter.

Will he pull out due to ill health then if it was that bad?

I mean Blatter wouldn't want the stress of a long campaign would he...

Just watched the Panorama documentary on FIFA. The level of corruption is so high and so absolute, I don't think anyone could ever trust the organisation to put itself right. Featured a very brief but particularly telling cameo from our numpty Prime Minister Cameron berating the BBC for exposing criminality in FIFA when we wanted to win the world cup ourselves. I guess if there might be something in it for us then the politicians, dignatories and tabloid newspapers couldn't care less about criminal behaviour. But once they realized there was no chance of us ever winning, then they are quite happy to get on their high horses. Just like so many of our trade deals with countries that abuse human rights and torture and murder their own people over and over again, when there is MONEY in it for us, the politicians couldn't care less and will overlook anything.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Wonder if the Russia and Qatar world cups will be annulled now?

But also interesting...

Platini, a man now proven to be corrupt, was the driving force behind hijacking FFP (away from 'stop clubs getting into debt' to 'stop clubs we don't like dining at the top table') with the club most vociferously backing him now being implicated in corruption surrounding the awarding of the 2006 World Cup and, at the time, run by a now proven tax fraudster...

Good f*cking riddance to them. :woo:

I think now FIFA should have a total reform and even change it's tarnished name, of course whoever is appointed as the next boss should be an Englishman and give us the 2018 world cup and Australia the 2022 and ban Qatar from competing in football forever and arrest their guys who bought them the world cup vote.

Surely this will be the end of all this bribing and corruption farce!

Hopefully the first step of many to sorting out that corrupt piece of shit organisation. Good riddance, neither of them are a loss to football and hopefully there are more dodgy cnuts to go the same way.

No, you're right. There's no way a group of corrupt people could have been corrupt in one thing you happen to like.

FIFA needs shutting down and rebuilding from the ground up. There's no other way to fix it because the same systems will be in place.

While I 100% agree with the calls for the death of Fifa I do have a lot of worries about what would follow it.

One of the small positives of Fifa is it should not be tied to big legues or specific clubs (or not meant to be) and therefore money was supposed to be spread evenly around all areas.

Now yes, this has been badly abused by the people within the company and therefore it needs a complete clearout (first job for me would be every single member removed top to bottom (sorry t them who were not corrupt).

but we cannot also have the game run by say England/spain/Italy/Germany with their self interest ways or also ran by Real Madrid/Barcelona/Man Utd and co with their greedy corporate self-interest ways either.

Must have an independent body..............but fifa needs fully re-built
