Agree with that. He's doing what he can with a threadbare squad desperately lacking in Championship quality (although some may argue that lack of quality is his own doing) The last two January windows have been fantastic for us. Its not unreasonable to suggest he might do some shrewd business again so we should give him that opportunity at least.

I'd only want a change if there was really somebody inspiring ready to take the helm which I very much doubt.

Anyway, im surprised that SERNWA that absolute f***ing runt of a Rotherham fan hasn't suddenly reappeared again.

Why not? I'd like to think he'd consider coming here if he was contemplating accepting the fucking Fulham job. He'd have money to spend, be on a decent wage and a club that would be able to host Premier League football, if he got us there. It'd be well worth a try, and he'd be my choice if Cotterill gets sacked.

FWIW, I wouldn't put his head on the chopping board just yet. We have Blackburn, Huddersfield, Derby and QPR as our next 4 - let's see where we are then, before making a rash decision.

Right, having had some time to reflect, 3 things come out of that game for me:

First, when we invariably steam out of the blocks we have got to take our chances. Because at the minute if we concede the first goal we are done.

That is down to our absolute lack of a Plan B. Partly down to our real lack of depth, I won't get into that again. But also that is partly down to Cotterill himself. He seems unable to meaningfully change a game when it's not going our way, and in fact that goes back to our days in League 1 as well, it just wasn't a situation that occured often.

But it's not all on Cotterill. The players themselves have got to take some responsibility. They woefully under-performed yesterday, and it wasn't just the obvious candidates. Korey gave his worst display in a City shirt by a distance and the game completely passed Kodjia by. They've got to pick it up - that last hour was a disgrace.

Big game now against Blackburn. It won't be easy, Lambert was a good appointment and they'll start climbing the table now, but we've got to bounce back fast. And to be fair we have done that so far this season when we've had a shocker. After the Fulham debacle we grinded an important 1-0 win over Wolves and we need something similar on Saturday.
