Get on Ben Klock's essential mix if you fancy some Sunday techno. Highly recommended.

Did you see the video of the attempted 'sit down' when Maceo Plex played that four tet opus remix at Amnesia  people waiting 9 minutes for a drop that doesn't come

Agreed on Four Tet's remix, excellent song.

Got a few upcoming gigs lined up with Bicep and Clouds playing in an underground carpark on Halloween, then Zabiela in the same car par not long after. Both should be quality nights.

God start to ADE last night. Went to Storboscopic Artifacts night.

Folker Zwart opened with a really nice deep tech set. Think he finished with an Rrose track which was brilliant but couldn't figure it out at the time.

Chavel was up next who I was excited to see but for the first 30 minutes he was mainly playing breaks which really sucked the energy out of the room. He picked up after though.

Jonas Kopp played probably the best live set I've seen so far. Highlight of the night for us.

James Ruskin had a hard act to follow and it was actually the weakest set I've seen him play. Didn't flow for me as well as normal.

Lucy the head man then came on and played a lovely set of rolling techno. I think they got him and Ruskin the wrong way round though.

Perc them came on and caused some heavy damage to smash us towards the end. The last 30 minutes of his set was absolute quality.

So yeah good start. Off to Radion tonight for 21 hours of techno. Going to be good not seen many of the people playing and can't wait to here Fautzi's repetative headfucking techno tomorrow afternoon!

Sounds unreal that, wish I'd have went again this year. Enjoy!

Unfortunately I missed the main people I wanted to see. I took it easy the night before or at least what I thought was easy. I ended up feeling quite sick around 6am and once my stomach goes that's it.

I hadn't really slept from the night before although I has rested. My own fault I should have forced my head down and also made sure I got some more food into me rather than being rushed by a friend who wanted to get there earlier. (Not their fault, mine for not wanting to make more of a point of it.)

Absolutely gutted as all the people I wanted to see were on later, it's made me realise I have to consider my stomach a little more in the future because it can't put up with much these days. I know I still did two nights but that afternoon was what I'd been looking forward to for weeks. :( Should know better really.

Did catch Mittendorf, JC, Unforseen alliance and Surgeon though and all were quality.

Still onwards to Jaded for Pfirter at Halloween.

Old one here:

In fact they have some Warp stuff for sale on the Juno page so might buy it as I don't have or even know much of the older stuff.

Went to Tresor last night in Berlin it was great

That has got to be one of my favourite clubs. Usually no que and very unpretentious.

When it gets going at 3-4am the atmosphere is brilliant - probably my first proper 'techno experience' with a full on sound system. It's relentless.

I really miss those places living in Asia. It's all about minimum spend at tables, bottles of grey of goose etc. Going to a club with NO DANCE FLOOR!!!!

Wow - 4 really nice tracks there. Thanks! :)

Been browsing through some psy trance today in search of some stuff that I could mess about with. I didn't know where to start, I know quite a few DJ's and producers but wanted to find some new stuff. Started off with the top 30 on Juno but it was full of shit other than the few artists I already know. Found some nice stuff though, this ones decent but a bit uplifting. If you like standard trance music I think you will enjoy it:

Love the menacing sounds in this one:

I really love the minimal dark progressive though:

Pfirter was good last week. Jaded always on form although my friend didn't like it as much which is a shame. Guy J is always on form too, his new release below:

Saw Sven Vath a couple of weeks ago, always enjoyable watching a true pioneer play a 3 hour set. The man never disappoints.

3 nice tunes there :)

Went to Bloc in London for the first time at the weekend and it's a good little venue. Barker opened up with a melodic first hour playing a few different tunes then he got into some really nice techno in the second hour. Neil Landstrumm came on at 1, he was the one I was least sure on listening to his mixes before hand but I really enjoyed his bouncy funky set. (I am not sure how else to describe it.)

I'd been really looking forward to to seeing Karenn, which is a partnership between Blawan & Pariah. The first half hour was filled with quality uncompromising techno, I am not sure what happened in the second half hour of their set but me and Nicola felt that it was missing something. It seemed to go a bit flat but still enjoyable. Here is their set from Awakenings to get a feel for their style: https://soundcloud.com/awakenings/karenn-blawan-pariah-awakenings-festival-2015-day-two Still good and I would suggest seeing them if you get the chance.

Barker came on after again and played another decent hour though he did dip into breaks a few times which was a running theme through out the night, this was quite annoying as it really broke up the flow for me and sucks the energy out of the dance floor.

Joe Farr then came on for the last two hours and played a stormer, again he dropped into breaks a bit to much for my liking but it was still a great set, he played a nice extra 30 minutes at the end which we were grateful for as our coach wasn't until 8:30 in the morning so it gave us something to do. My attempts to drag Nicola to Jaded were futile sadly which is shame as Inigo Kennedy was on at 12pm and that would have been worth catching.

Overall a solid night, only let down by the breaks (I assume they were breaks anyway) sucking the life out of it at times. I'll give it a solid 4 UPS pills out of 5. Nice that everyone I saw play I had yet to witness and it was a brand new venue. :)

I wish I could ID some of the tracks I had streaming around my head all day yesterday hopefully I come across a few of them . The crowd were brilliant, we bumped into a guy a we met on the bus stop at Koko's and then saw again at Hydra which was nice. Onwards to Tribe at the end of the month and then Ostgut Ton next month, then I think we're having a bit of a break. Not a bad way to the end the year though and I personally think this has been a great year for Techno again. :)

Have you got the new Guy J album EvertonPaul? Brilliant as expected, he's such a solid producer. I'd love to see him play out, he's playing in the Midlands next month with Digweed but I can't make it.

I've ordered it like so it should be in the post. I've heard good things so far too. Where's the Ostgut Ton night? Are you off to Berlin again?

Guy J has again managed to make another timeless album here. The Trees, The Sea & Sun / 1000 Words are exceptional.

Quality album and both mixes are great. Nirvana is a stand out track but also love Bungalow and 8 minute flight too. Don't think the guy has made a track that I don't like in some way.

Old school trancer here. Have to click on the link because I cant seem to embed it.

Tribe of frog for this weekend. :) Some heavy psy trance coming. A guy that I know who is going will be celebrating his 75th birthday, inspiration to us all! Hopefully I'll be celebrating a new job too but if no then I'll be drowning my sorrows, so it's all set to be a smashing weekend.

'The raver does not dance for any external display (...) one becomes all, or rather the distinction between one and all disappears. It is a dance for the self, in that it is a dance to lose the self. But it is also a communal loss - a loss of self that occurs in the setting of the rave.'
