I'd be rooting for Celtic normally as they are slightly the lesser of two evils, but they are playing wank and Rangers have a good chance at beating them. Hope not though.

Cracking match in Falkirk last night where Rangers went 2 - 0 up only for the home side to claw back 2 goals and get the winner in stoppage time.

Only caught it when it went to 2 - 2 as was watching the Schalke match so only caught the last 10 mins.
The highlights of all SPL matches and the top SFL matches are always on the BBC website. I've become quite familiar with Scottish football through this medium and because so many ex-League 2 and National League players are at SPL clubs!

I check the BBC news daily as well for football news but have never had a look at the highlights there. Will look out the goal there then! :D

Aye I watched it, there was shouting and screaming from me and my neighbours as the goals went in. It was a terrific game, it had everything, scuffles from the staff of both teams, penalties, a sending off, and last minute drama. Was gutted when the Arab bastards got the equaliser, but I knew it was coming, just like I knew Liverpool would fuck up when Skrtel came on at half time!! :D

So Rangers are back in the top flight - will they challenge Celtic at all?

I'm probably biased, but I really think - as it stands now - we're in a good place to challenge next year. I reckon it will be a bit beyond us, but this months Old Firm will give us a decent idea of where both teams stand. We definitely have significant momentum though.

A lot depends on (a) if we can keep the current crop of players together, more so some of the on-loan players (b) not to mention the manager (c) how Celtic spend and of course (d) what happens off the field with us, which is anyone's guess...!

I've watched quite a few games this season in HK and we've played some brilliant football, particularly at the start of the season, so I'm optimistic. It'll be tough though.

Nothing nicer than a positive old firm result.

Made even better when Scott Brown assisted the first goal and missed his penalty.

Fantastic. I knew we'd give them a game, but still surprised at the result and the quality of our performance, particularly when I think back to last years fixture, where we utterly clueless under McCoist.

IF we can keep this group together and add a few new faces then I think we'll be in a decent shape to challenge next season. Still a long way to go, but Celtic looked flat and are there for the taking.

I don't know how many players Rangers have loaned but Foderingham and Waghorn are their's. They are decent League 1 standard players and on that basis are better than all but Celtic, Aberdeen and Hearts in the SPL, so I'd think that Rangers will challenge especially as Celtic don't look to be fully firing under Delia. Mind you, I'd think Aberdeen will continue to improve too.

I think the worry amongst Aberdeen fans, and Scottish football in general, is that it's now going to revert back to being how it's been for the last 25 years. Basically, the entire game built around two clubs and nothing for anyone else.

"Armageddon" was promised (direct quote from the SPFL Chief Executive), but in these last 4 years Aberdeen have won their first trophy in 19 years, Inverness won their first ever trophy, Ross County won their first ever trophy, St Johnstone won their first ever trophy, Hearts won the Cup, St Mirren won their first in 26 years... You also had Hibs, Dundee Utd and Falkirk making finals. Overnight the rest of Scotland had something to play for, and it's resulted in increased attendances, investment and positivity. The precise polar opposite to Armageddon in fact.

Within 2 weeks of Rangers getting promotion, the same Chief Executive has already declared this as "good news for Scottish football" and the media has been full of ex players, ex managers and pundits talking about Rangers and Celtic, just as it was before.

All it will take now is for Celtic to start spending even more money to ensure they win the league again, then Rangers spending even more money in return (that they don't even have) and everything will return to how it was before.

Yeah, I think that's a legitimate concern. Personally, I can't see us spending significantly for a while, but you're correct though, there will be a chasm between the Old Firm and the rest, one that will probably grow in time, but I can't see it ever being as significant as it was during the nineties until recently, where the OF were wasting money. Those days are over, so I still reckon there's a chance of the likes of Aberdeen breaking in.

I'm guessing the Chief Exec was probably commenting on the increased revenues that will flow to the others with a better TV deal and 2 visits a year from Rangers fans. He is correct though, isn't he...?
