My source is pretty decent when it comes to this one pal, he's worked at your place very recently but time will tell.

Don't doubt you mate, my best mate works at the club but he's being extremely quiet, just getting the official line from the club which if you're right is there to save face.

I take it you've lumped on Redfearn going to Barnsley then at 8/1?

Agard still isn't ready for the Championship...

And I doubt he ever will be.

Overrated by alot of our fans, he was good at being in the right place at the right time but he didn't have much else about his game.

Wrong choice. We can't afford to mess it up again now.

Surprised Phil Brown isn't on the skybet list.

Diffferent story to what I've heard, Fan pressure was the reason given, shite basically, Richard Stewart vented that publically on twitter. Penny finally dropped he was out of his depth.

Tony Stewart is actively looking for more investment, that's the only thing that can move us forward, more investment. I personally don't buy into having a good youth sytem bollocks, doesn't do Crewe many favours does it? I love Evans but he wasted a load of money and then Redfearn wasted even more, sensible spending and we'd be clear imo.

Agard left and publically said he wasn't ready for the championship.

That'd be right in opposite world.

Don't get me wrong having a good youth system doesn't guarentee you anything but for every Crewe there is a Southampton

12/1 BetVictor.

Not us, probably Barno.

Warnock till end of the season and then Wilder in the summer.

No you're right but clubs like Southampton can afford to try and invest in youth and bring through youth whilst buying quality for the first team at the same time. We'll never have that luxury just like Crewe never have, I'd sooner be a perennial struggler in the championship picking up a massive amount of money (for us) just to be here than rot in league one and two with a couple of 16 year olds we'll ultimately get skanked for.

Crewe's existence makes me cringe, their fans whack one off when they sell one of their best players just so they can bang on about their academy.

Fair play when they got into this league with that strikeforce of Ashton and Hulse but they sold all their best players and just happily dropped back down into obscurity. I'm sure they would rather be bottom half in League One and produce a Premier League player now and then, rather than play in this league with no academy players in their team.

Their fans are all boring c*** as well.

Your reyt, they love to harp on about yester year. They haven't brought anyone through in ages anyway, latest went to pissing wigan for pennies.

Give me season after season of struggle in here then turning into the next Crewe, I'd imagine it'd sour you into being a mardy train spotter who loves to talk about teenage boys.

I agree with you about Crewe's fans. They've got chavvy kids from holes like Kidsgrove in trackies gobbing off in that subbuteo stand behind the goal with about 4 rows, but at least in terms of their football club they have an identity.

I'm struggling with what ours is now. I thought we were going to be a club punching above our weight until we steadied the ship, threw money at growing the fanbase and extending the ground and getting an average attendance (of about 13/14k) which would allow us to compete.

Then it looked like we might go for the youth route, but lacked the cajones and patience to persevere. Now we're talking of Warnock temporarily so what do we do next year if we do stay up? Hope Burton, Gillingham and Walsall go up so we have clubs to outspend? Madness.

Rotherham's youth issue though is they are in a tough catchment area. The best players I have seen round here have both ended up at Man City from Rotherham.

They told me when the new lad took over the academy (Gareth something?) they wanted 2 academy grads into the team every 2 seasons. They counted any younger players they picked up from 16 that get released elsewhere in that too.

All the clubs in the area suffer from it pal, hence we are Cat 2 not 1, why waste the money

Still a tough ask to save our season, but at least we should go down with a fight.
With Redfearn it was like death by a thousand cuts.
