Compare their movement mate, AJ walks in cement compared to Fury. & his ring IQ is also streets ahead. If you start making AJ miss and confuse him with movement (see Savon in the amateurs) he doesn't have an awful lot. He's still an exceptionally dangerous fight for Fury because of his obvious traits but I have a feeling that fight would end up very one sided, probably summed up by Joshua following Fury around the ring and getting tagged with point scoring shots all night long.

Didn't Joshua beat Fury in sparring while an amateur? (I could be completely wrong about that but I'm sure I read about it somewhere). I know you're a fan of Fury but I think hes massively over-rated.

Is AJ that slow? He hasn't had to move that fast given whom hes faced. I don't doubt his chin given the shots he took against Whyte.

Fury has a greater ring-IQ as you say and hes so awkward to fight against but I think AJ's advantages win him the fight.

It's not an outrageous claim at all. Fury would start favourite for that fight and deservedly so.

Admittedly, "Outrageous" was a bit strong and I agree that Fury being favourite is deserved given the (marginally better) opposition hes faced in comparison to Joshua but even then, its not like hes beaten anyone of proper note barring Klitchsko, whose performance was embarrassing in that fight.

For the record, I'm no fan of Joshua. Hes an arrogant cock.

We need to see AJ in with someone who works technically before we can say too much. He's pretty much been put up against tin cans who are easy to hit. Someone like Pulev would be a good test for him

Marginally? Fury's win over Klitschko outweighs AJ's 17 wins put together. It was a huge win which he's still not getting credit for. For the record I think AJ probably beats Fury, not that the fight will ever happen. Sunday Mirror reporting Fury refused to be tested by UKAD in the last few weeks which, if true, would be a minimum 4-year ban.

Had Fury beaten Klitschko 5 years ago, I'd agree 100%. But he didn't, he beat a 40 year old clearly past his best. Don't get me wrong, the 40 year old Klitschko is still worth 5 times anything put in front of AJ. Fury gets about the amount of credit he deserves for winning that fight. It was an awful fight.

Fury made it messy with his herky jerky style, with lots of feints and hand & foot movement. Klitschko was left really confused and moved his head out of the way of 'shots' that didn't come most of the night. It was well played by Fury as the last thing you want to do vs a very rigid, 'proper' and orthodox fighter like Wlad is stand in front of him, trade and make it a fight. It doesn't work as he's too strong and his punches are too straight. I think Furys team devised a good strat to win, but a strat that made the fight a bit crap. That's boxing though and they weren't going to worry about that, we're talking about taking on a huge super-champion!

It doesn't matter what the fight was like in terms of style, it's purely down to the fact Fury beat him. 40 years old or not, this is a guy who had held all the belts for 10+ years and Tyson beat him comfortably with all the odds stacked against him.

While we are on the subject, I've seen Hearn sticking his nose in suggesting that's it for Fury now so I would love for Fury take the bait and come back to beat Joshua at Wembley. That fight just has to happen, it's fucking huge and he could retire after that a happy man.

Hearn seems to think somehow a fight can be made between AJ and Wlad for November for "all the belts". Chatting shit of course as there's no chance he risks his main man against Wlad right now. Not sure how exactly he thinks all the governing bodies will ignore their own mandatory challengers and somehow put them all on the line for that fight in any case.

The governing bodies will want to recoup the sanctioning fees they've lost out on with all these postponements. Not right of course, but this is boxing we're talking about.

What kind of fees are we talking?

In an interview, Eddie Hearn says every time a heavyweight title is contested a governing body will earn around $100-£150k. That's circa $500/600k a year if the title is contested four times.

Fury outboxed a fighter who hadn't lost for ten years. Why is it outrageous to think he will beat joshua

Fury is such a bottling c***.
Why would you bottle out of a fight against someone you've already schooled on their own promotion? Mental illness isn't something to be derided either.

AJ's feet are too slow to beat Fury, it'd be a beautiful display of dancing by Fury.

I never believed the excuses about him "not being in a good frame of mind". It was clear he was well out of shape and now we know why. He's definitely a troubled guy but he's always been that way. He could have dominated the division for years but I can't see him having the determination to come back now.

I bet Fury is quality on the beak, he'll be getting top notch gear too. He's still the man, until someone beats him that'll remain the case.

It's beak, hardly the crime of the century. One might say doing beak in the lead up to a huge fight where you're set to earn over 4 mill isn't that of a rational mind. He does need to get himself diagnosed with an actual disorder as opposed to mere depression though, bipolar would be the perfect cover story for his actions.

I'm pretty sure AJ - Wlad will be made but if it doesn't and he ends up fighting his IBF mandatory then I'm betting big on Parker. He'll lay him out.

Parker is certainly a live threat to AJ. He's got a great mentality, workrate and showed a good chin against Takam. He won't be daunted about coming to the O2 to fight either, won't be a bum who lies down for AJ. Wlad is the easier fight right now, no wonder they're chasing that.

Cleveley in Germany tonight, surely his last shot at the big time.
